The Noctua is considered a high-end air cooler, while the Hyper 212 Halo Black is more targeted at the lower mid-range. I'd think that the Halo Black should handle a 7600X just fine, given the 7600X's TDP rating!

Nice video! I'm considering getting the Hyper 212 Halo for my build, but I'm kind of lost. Never really used an air cooler outside of the stock AMD Wraith that came with my Ryzen 5 4500, so I'm wondering if this would be an improvement in terms of temperature and noise (my mobo doesn't have pwm control, so I'm not sure if this would be an issue...), or if I need to look for something more expensive Also, is the ARGB of coolers like this (or even the panel in Deepcool's AK400 Digital, which I'm also considering) compatible with those third party RGB hubs? My mobo doesn't have ARGB control either :P If so, can I get any brand of those hubs/controllers, or would I need to get a Cooler Master one specifically?
@ALKtech
@ALKtech Ай бұрын
Glad you found the video useful! The Hyper 212 Halo Black in this video's gonna be a massive improvement over the stock AMD Wraith, you won't go wrong with it for your Ryzen 5 4500! Out of curiosity, what mobo are you using? I'd think that most modern AM4 motherboards should have a four-pin PWM fan header for the CPU cooler! That said, the aRGB connectors on CPU cooler fans/AIOs etc are compatible across the board with different brands of aRGB/fan hubs - you don't have to get a Cooler Master aRGB/fan hub just because you're gonna use a Cooler Master CPU cooler - any brand will do. Hope this helps!

@ALKtech Жыл бұрын
Hey man, it's perfectly normal behaviour for your 13500 to run up to 100 degrees Celsius - Intel's modern processors are designed to run this way especially under synthetic workloads such as Cinebench R23. That said, 78-90 degrees does sound about right for a processor under normal load, I'm assuming you got this temperature range while gaming? How's the airflow in your PC case like?

@@ajay4747x 60-65 degrees Celsius while gaming is a pretty good result, don't worry! You probably don't have to get a contact frame since your temperatures are pretty decent, and it's not like you're using a super high-end processor for overclocking or whatever, so I'd personally just save the money! That said, no harm adding two 120mm fans on your PC case's top panel, this should further help airflow in your case for sure. Hope this helps!

@@ALKtech You can find it on their official website, I tried to link it but I couldn't. It's the name that creates the confusion in my opinion, couldn't they name it something else other than literally "Hyper 212 Black"?!?!?! lol I just realized after checking it again right now that it have a slightly different design but I don't think that's enough to dismiss it as the non-RGB variant.

@@illogical1421 oh yes, the "Hyper 212 Black" is quite a new product that just launched a few months back. To make things even more confusing, the "Black" is the successor to the "Hyper 212 Black Edition" - there really is a difference between the "Black" and "Black Edition", said "Black Edition" launched back in 2021 😂

it doesn't give a second pair of clips !!

Yeah that's one thing I wish Cooler Master had included, a second pair of clips for folks who'd like to install a second fan...

@@ALKtech tbh i dont think the 2nd fan would help significantly, but it will impact heavily in terms of aesthetic for me LOL

@@香噴噴-p6fyeah actually I'd think you'll run into limitations due to the size of the cooling tower, in terms of how much more thermal performance you can get out of it with a second fan...

About 10% of cpu is not covered with thermal paste. You didn't learned your lesson. 😂 Always spread the paste to cover it fully.

@@taryk9868 what CPU cooler are you using at the moment? 85°C - 89°C isn't ideal, you should try to upgrade your cooler to something that can lower your CPU temps to maybe 70ish°C if possible!
