This case is a CM693 chassis with different panels, the CM 693 has the exact internal structure as the Silencio 652s. These cases are a spinoff of the HAF 912 case and the Storm Enforcer. The windowed panel From the CM 693 will fit the Silencio or the HAF 912 or Storm enforcer. When Cooler Master streamlined their product line the HAF 912 is now an essential case, and the chassis was used to create the newer Silencio and CM693 So now the CM693 cable grommets and side panels will fit the HAF 912 and the Silencio 652s. The only thing not usable on the Silencio is the 200mm Megaflow fan in the front, but the top will accept one. JayzTwoCents, my hat is off for you brother, glad to see you collaborating with Linus and NCIX, You guys got me inspired to start building and modding. :)

Just some info I think will be useful for people building a PC. I recently built 3 systems with the exact same components. The only variable where the cases used: Cooler Master Cosmos 2 USB 3.0 XL / Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium (windowless side panel) / bequiet! SILENT BASE 800 Silver (also windowless side panel). All cases are absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them all without any hesitation. However, after subjecting the systems (which were the same in every aspect) to an 8 hour "stress test", I noticed the Cooler Master kept everything cooler. In fact, a difference of between 15 to 26 degrees Celsius was noticeable after various tests. The Fractal and bequiet! kept a 5 degrees Celsius between them (which is within the margin of error realm). All cases were stripped of all stock cooling and used exactly the same fans/coolers (Noctua, obviously). Just wanted to let builders know how much of a difference having a much bigger volume of air in the case/ an open front intake zone/ a wider separation between components makes in the real world. Happy builds to all you DIY guys out there. Cheers.

***** I do want to add, of all the awesome (read: famous) youtubers I have commented to, you are the only one to respond, so you are flunking awesome in my book!!! TL;DR AT BOTTOM!!! That being said, it just occurred to me that you might want something I built... I wanted to monitor the temperatures of my rig and cooling loop. Unfortunately there isn't a reasonably priced device that will allow monitoring of the number of probes I wanted (initially 8, but I got a deal on the probes so I used all 10), so I decided to build one... It is a 3.2" touchscreen device that monitors 10 probes/devices, and touching the probe name/location brings you to a 10-minute histogram of that probe... I am looking to try to sell them eventually, but I was thinking that you might be interested in one. I am not asking for any sort of promotion by any means, but I really like your channel and the work you do, and I am very excited to see you making a career of it!!! I want to sell the first five or so units for cost, which is about ~$50 (It depends on what price I can get some of the parts for, and if I order from overseas or not). The only caveat to the unit as a whole, is that I chose to use digital temperature probes instead of analog, which means they are slightly larger and will not fit into some tight places. The probes in use are DS18B20's if you want an idea of their size. TL;DR I have built a 3.2" touchscreen temperature display with a graphing feature, I am looking to sell them to enthusiasts, I want to sell the first 5 for cost, at a ~$50 materials expense. I thought you might be interested in one of them. I do not want any sort of shout out or anything like that, just wanted to get your thoughts on it. The following photographs are of my current 'prototype'. It is not complete just yet, but I expect it to be finalized within the coming week or two (just software updates) Temperature Display - Probe List: goo.gl/znF8WC Temperature Display - Historical Graph: goo.gl/ziXqUd

I gotta agree, they need to make a window side panel for both the new Silencio cases. Having made my own modded "silence optimized" case, I can comfortably say that the window does little to make or break silence optimization in comparison to picking components that are ACTUALLY quiet in the first place. I do like the direction Cooler Master is headed with these, and honestly if they had just given users the option of being able to let their door swing both ways (... heh...) then it'd be hard to really gripe about anything in either case.
@Bentfrombeyond10 жыл бұрын
I'd like to see the quality go back up in the mid and top end cases first, I don't mind their move toward a sleeker and more refined look, but I can't overstate the quality control needs to improve. All in all I liked this case, but sadly it is too small for my needs. Great review Jay :)

Now im able to OCCT my 4770k at 3,9ghz(turbo) on 8 threads using AVX and keep the temps no higher than 70 degrees. Considering that i use the AVX option in OCCT thats pretty darn impressive for such a cheap heatsink.

I prefer the understated cases by a long way, but if I was 16 I'd go for the flashy ones. Room for both in the world. I have developed a bit of an obsession for quiet small form factor pcs, probably because when I built my first a couple of years ago it was all about price/performance and as such it was big, loud and annoying.
