Quick life hack: you can remove stabilizer rattle on most keyboards by buying dielectric grease or Teflon grease. Just quickly apply it into the sides of the stab where plastic touches moving plastic and it will be gone. Taeha Types and Rhinofeed have videos if you wanna see

Downsized from a TKL to a 75% keyboard and never looked back. Love the smaller footprint with separate function and number keys which 60% keyboards do not have.

CM had made killer boards for years, still love my QuickFire TK's and my Pro S. I have been wanting to try the new replacements for the Pro S and Pro M since I love the frame change and looks of the new boards. The SK series missed their mark by using flat caps over the curved caps we're all used to and other slim boards are using.

I bought SK630 and didn't like it either. I went for Ducky MIYA Pro Panda which is also TKL but much better choice over SK630.

I think we are in a great position as consumers, as far as these smaller producers starting to take a bigger share of the market, it creates great competition in the industry which will give us more options and hopefully a fast, ever improving and creative choices for us buyers.

i bought the low profile board a while ago but i got a white limited edition version and to me this board is amazing typing is a blast and games are amazing as well they are just as fast as cherry speed switches but they feel so much better

Nah, Ive dealt with some bigger companies before but Im working with more now. CM has been there since the beginning, Razer has been on board for a while but more are reaching out for sure! And I'm playing Div 2 and New Dawn mainly but looking forward to Rage 2 and Hawaii Shakedown as soon as I find time.

I’m loving the keyboard market right now. I think the smaller players are pushing the envelope but these bigger guys theoretically have the economies of scale so if they get their act together we should see lower prices, shorter wait lists and higher quality than smaller companies could achieve. Loving it.

I bought this keyboard about six months ago and game about every night with it. The keycaps are really really bad. space bar starting chipping away, however, the rest of the board is great. no issues.

Went from the thermaltake x1 to the dicky miya pro and I love the thing. I'm a huge fan of the smaller keyboards now plus the quality of it is great it just feels super sturdy.

That SK630 is a big no go can't stand red switches to begin with let alone with low profile. Reminds me of the shitty modern laptop keyboards. Haven't tried Gateron switches so Idk about CK530. Very nice informative review as always Brian.

I've had Razer, Logitech and Ducky mech boards, and out of those I found Ducky to feel the most premium. Once I took the plunge and build my own it pretty much ruined off-the-shelf keyboards (and my wallet) for me. Currently on my second DIY keyboard, a Quefrency 60% with Zealios switches which is like typing on a stick of butter... smoooooth :D

Honestly for me lately these smaller boards are the only thing I'm looking for, I use a one 2 mini with tai hao caps for gaming and I plan on getting a TKL board for my stream PC when she's up and running. I literally have no interest in purchasing a full size board any time soon just because the foot print and a lot of full size boards don't meet the quality I like

I pre-order the gmmk compact size and I worry about that... the full-size keyboards are suck (for my taste) they are giant and not comfortable to use, so I bought the 60 percent keyboard layout because I want a smaller keyboard than the full-size tkl keyboard is in the middle size, it isn't a huge keyboard but not the tiniest.

you should try pressing the low profiles slowly, then you will notice how scratchy those actually are i had a low profile corsair for a month and couldnt stand the feeling by the end of it, so i bought a leopold

Is it possible to use different layouts on the MK730? For example.. can I make a macro to write the letter Z when using the key Y and vice versa? I would like to buy the MK730 with german layout but they only have mx cherry reds. On the other hand there are still keyboards with mx cherry blue keys with US and UK layouts available.

Some of the best keycaps available are ABS. It's all about the quality, it's cheaper to make low quality ABS compared to low quality PBS.

Hey Brian, just a request, will you by any chance do a review of the Glorious GMMK TKL? The TKL (and the full size) was released much earlier than the 60% version, and there are some issues with stabilizer rattle and build quality with the TKL that seemed to be fixed in the 60%. I am looking for the TKL version, and I might need some advice on that board.

My friend is offering to sell me his MK730 for $50 AUD, when the retail price is around $160-180. He only got it in April, he says that he has manually lubed the stabilizers and that he'll clean it before he gives it to me. My current keyboard is a Razer Ornata Chroma, which I've been using for two years and is starting to feel uncomfortable. Am I correct in thinking that this is a really good deal and that I should take it?

The Logitech G Pro got me into the TKL Market, after I switched to the Ducky TKL, but ended up selling it because it just wasn’t really what I was looking for. After, I bought the Ducky One 2 Mini because it was the hype. I think Fortnite has really shifted people to buying the smaller form factor boards because it has all the necessary keys. At least for me. Also, they take up way less space. People like Tfue, and other FN Pros are what caused the shift in my opinion.

My keyboard of choice right now is Havit HV-KB395L. And it's the cheapest board I have used! Ironic that I have bought all these 130-150 keyboards and the 70 one is the best SMH

PUNS OF DAMAGE!!! I dunno, I rather liked the typing experience of the SK630 when I tried it at CES, but then I prefer to type more lightly. Gotta admit tho, that MK730 DOES look a lot more appealing for the price point. I think I'd agree that even at the "lower" end of the spectrum, quality has improved overall. I now look at stuff like what WASD Keyboards sells, and... I just can't justify the price point anymore. Now to get rid of this stupidly bad Rosewill RGB80 on my desk...

Does someone know which software to use for the mk730? I tried using the master plus software, but when I open the software (with the keyboard connected) it just says I have to connect a compatible device. Plz, I have been wondering since I got the keyboard at Christmas.
