The Grip car is from a game called Grip. It's a racing game where the cars can drive upside-down when flipped and they can drive on walls and ceilings. The very first track looks alot like the centrifuge from trailmakers and the challenge you did there is very related to what Grip is like.

First I thought you got most possibilities in Scrap Mechanic, since the physics engine is strongly based on real physics. The problem is that some parts behave strange - like tires on asphalt or the dwarves in their seats - that would need further optimization by the devs. But with all the physical possibilites comes a lot of need for processing power, so no matter what graphics card you're using, your CPU is the limitation. I think it's the only game where you can create worlds and build static objects into them (by weldingthem to the ground). Trailmakers has the more stable engine that is less oriented on simulating real physics but using certain parts that got physical abilities instead, which needs a lot less CPU power. This simpler physics makes driving cars for instance a lot more fun. The game limits the parts you can use but gives a stable gameplay instead. There are no real free moving bearings in the game, so you are somehow limited, but instead you can do a lot more in terms of designing, without having to install mods. All in all it's a lot cleaner than SM and it also has some really nice game modes, where SM is totally lacking. I prefer it a lot over SM, mainly cause my CPU is pretty dated (i5-2300), the game modes and the superior building editor, where you can easily change and optimize your builds - without having to rebuild it all from a dwarf's perspective... It looks like you also can't build static objects in Main Assembly, but man, these possibilities in designing shapes and connecting logic looks mindblowing! When it gets released it is most probably going be my new favourite.

1:18 That breaking system kind of reminds me of a thing from one of the zones from Sonic Mania, it's a thing on the ground that involves a gloved robot hand and a huge gear, basically you reach some points where you need to do multiple loops, and at some of those points there's the thing I was talking about, once you step on the gear then the gear rises up and the hand comes out and holds you down while you run, and the gear spins faster the faster you run letting you gain more momentum (so basically using a treadmill without power, pushing the tread bit by running and keeping a good grip on it), and once your ready to go the gear goes back down to the ground while still spinning while your running, and the hand loosens it's grip to get ready to let you go, and then the gear stops spinning while your still running and the hand lets go of you at the same time to give you max velocity. (P.S I kind of just made all of this up as I went on and tried to make as much sense of it as possible, I'm not sure if that's how it actually works, I just got caught up in the moment)
