Have to say, this kit produces the best 10/22 trigger I've ever felt ( and I've had most of them over the last 20 years..) Light and no creep!

This kit fits the Ruger PC Carbine nicely. I installed it along with the green 3.25 trigger return spring. I made no adjustments to the overtravel or sear set screws. No pretravel, No overtravel, and a super short trigger reset. Trigger is rock-solid with a clean/crisp break. Outstanding. All I have to do now is go shoot it.
@libertyfivefivesix6 жыл бұрын
Update: Unfortunately, this kit is not totally compatible with the PC Carbine. The hammer appears to tend to follow the bolt rather than reset, and so you get some burst fire every other trigger pull or so.... I think the disconnector may be jumping the engagement on the hammer. If you use the factory hammer, though, the problem stops. For the money, I would still recommend the upgrade if you want to shorten up trigger overtravel / reset. Just don't use the Kidd hammer. Hopefully they will come out with a more robust hammer for the PCC.

Tony, I recently bought your bolt assembley, and was pleasently surprised. My 10/22, like other 22's I've owned over the years, jammed about once every 30 to 50 shots. Since I got the bolt installed, no jams, even with the ruger 25 round mags. Great products.

Just took apart my PC 9 for the first time today. I wanted to know of the trigger still worked, the back spring flew across the room, the hammer flopped forward, the retaining pin fell out, and then the hammer fell out. Lesson learned: don't let the trigger operate while its out of the gun, unless your holding it. Thank you for showing how to put a ruger trigger back together! This helped me avoid a panic attack of 'I just broke it!'.

Your trigger guard will be a metal not polymer for that model. We recommend dropping our trigger job kit into polymer units because we have found them to have more consistent dimensions. This consistency is not noticeable with the factory parts installed but when installing the KIDD trigger job kit there is not as much "room" for inconsistencies. We have nearly 100% success rate in the polymer and about 65% in the metal housings. Good shooting! Mary Kidd

I recently bought one of your single stage triggers. And I had an issue with it the other day. Have you ever had your safety turn on you? The flat part was down and the notches were turned up. I wasn't able to get it out of safety.
@coolguyguns10xKIDD5 жыл бұрын
Galen, I have had this happen. hold the safety tightly with your thumb and trigger finger and rotate it back to the proper position. I wiggle the safety left to right as I rotate. This allows the safety to push the spring and plunger back down into their hole. Hope this helps. TK

Is the Kidd Trigger Job Kit really 1 3/4 lbs? (or is that just on your gun and if so, what trigger pull can we expect to get from your kit in one of Rugers new Polymer trigger assy?) It was a good video. It makes me want to order one but I'm not sure yet, it's 115 bucks and he dont even give us a slave pin with it, lol...
@coolguyguns10xKIDD3 жыл бұрын
The Trigger Job Kit is actually 1 3/4 pounds. I know most companies make a lot of false claims but I'm an honest guy and suffer from humility. It seems fairly rare these days. If you look closely at the video you will see that we include a $115 slave pin in the Trigger,Sear and Disconnector assembly. The rest of the Kit is free. All kidding aside if you need a slave pin for the hammer or magazine catch you can just use the factory pins that came in the trigger guard. They are usually .001"-.002" undersized and make great slave pins. Give us a try. We stand behind our products and I think you will be impressed. TKidd
@sogman72653 жыл бұрын
@@coolguyguns10xKIDD That's a good idea, you supply new pins so I have the extra slave pins already. Some disassembly required lol. I think I can appreciate a 1 3/4 lb trigger. I don't have any that light, close though. Sure would make my little 10/22 come alive!
@sogman72653 жыл бұрын
@@coolguyguns10xKIDD That didn't take long at all! I just finished installing it and no problems at all. Still has the Ruger smooth operating safety and everything functions as it should. But I'm dying to feel the trigger once back in the stock. Don't tell me, let me guess...Don't dryfire it, right? I did do it three times but I first inserted a empty/fired shell casing into the chamber. Is that ok? Or don't do it at all?
@chrisstone94109 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, installation was easy. I'm sure you're aware, but there is an additional stock ruger part that needs to be assembled but it's pretty obvious. Thanks a lot, great trigger - squirrels will fear me!

Now we just need the option of a Flat Trigger Shoe with these Kits now that more and more of us are using pistol grip type stocks and chassis. Not to drop names but kind of like what that other company is doing with their Kits.
@redsky85097 жыл бұрын
same for an older model with a metal trigger guard?
@coolguyguns10xKIDD7 жыл бұрын
We do not recommend our trigger job for use in aluminum guards. Although we have had happy customers who say it has worked in their aluminum guards, but we cannot guarantee this. It is a hit or miss situation because the hole placements are not always consistent. Good Shooting-KIDD

@KaiForce3 жыл бұрын
Ruger had to cheap out on something to keep the price low. Once you upgrade the trigger, it becomes an extremely solid gun.

@@KaiForce they cheaper out all over the place on the 1022. It’s a cheap gun with a great design. The performance becomes outstanding when you throw proper parts into it.
