Where’s the beef ? It’s in that giant burger you had Mr James ….that was crazy big lol . I definitely liked this resort . The lobby was very nice as well as the room . Great pools …I love me a swim up bar …well truth be told I love any bar . I agree with you about some of these types of resorts …not a lot to do after dinner . More of a relaxing vibe . Just returned from there and I agree it is a 5 star experience. Two things we did not visit was the on-site casino and a dance club. We did not do either as we are older and don't gamble but they are a night experience. You did the theme restaurants and did not cover the buffet restaurant which is absolutely incredible for breakfast, lunch, and Dinner with a different theme for dinner every night like International or Mexican. We spent most of our time by the main pool. If the resort is busy you need to hustle out to claim a spot early in the morning by placing a personal item on a chair so you get a premium spot. Especially so for the Quiet Pool. It goes very fast. We did not get the preferred option and feel we did not miss a thing. Although we did not book the Preferred Club they did offer it at check-in for $1100 then quickly reduced it to $534 which we declined. But I think the more expensive option also included an upgraded room. Which explains the difference. Our weather was perfect .

Just a heads up. Wife and I are snooping out the best price at Secrets in December. Called the resort to ask about Preferred Club upgrade for half of our 11 night stay. They recommended we book our stay without the Club add on and negotiate the price at or before check in. Sounds like you can get this add on for half price. James, you have the best reviews! @@jordanstafford8447 Long story. Ended up going to Lopezon and Hard Rock. Lopezon the more polished but the beach was a let down. Hard Rock was a little dated but the beach and the food made up for it.

James !!!! Lucas here from San Diego!!!!!! Just now today came back from Secrets the Vine Cancun!!!! Bro I've never had this kind of luxury. The staff was oh so 5 star. The ocean was blue like I've never seen before. My flight from TJ was 150 a person non stop!!!! I never had free room service and mini bar!!!! Any ways my wife and I and my 15 year old will go to D.R in September. I want to see the dolphins home opener and fly to DR the next day. I see your oh so hi on Riu DR as well. Keep up the great work I can't wait to see your Key largo video. Maybe a St. Petersburg FL video???? If you do one I get a shout out lol. I just watched the Masvidal vs Colby press conference and it was rad. Can't wait to watch it on my Pedi cab Infront of " Bubs" in the gaslamp. Later Buddy!!!

Hey Love your show. We've stayed at Dreams Royal beach which was right next door and we were jealous. We also stayed at Secrets Cap Cana which is very nice as well and newer I believe. Will you do a review at the Secrets Cap Cana resorts location in the future as well? I think you will love it. everything was on point. We only stayed there for only two days and didn't get to fully indulge but we enjoyed the short time we were there..

We stayed there w some friends in August…the place is magnificent, the staff is friendly and accommodating…even when you have small complaints. The concierge, food and waiter staff have remained friends til this day. Shout out to Julio(s), Esther, Manuro, Louis, Lisanne, Arcadio,..and all the others

@@Sugarshane88 Both properties are beautiful but Cap Cana is the newest one & it's gorgeous but quite. Royal is a little more lively. Just make sure when you go to the DR to avoid the seaweed season go from December to early May. By Memorial weekend the seaweed has arrived.

@@Sugarshane88people need to realize seaweed is going to happen at any resort. Its a Mother Nature thing that resorts have no control over. My wife and i went to Excellence El Carmen a week ago and there was zero seaweed, but 2 years ago we went to the same resort at the same time of year and the beach was covered in it. There was literally 6 inches to a foot of it everywhere on the beach. It was the craziest thing i had ever seen. They were actually using dump trucks and backhoes on the beach cleaning it up. Im sure if you talk to travel agents they will say that certain ends of the islands are more likely to get more, but it can wash up anywhere. I got to say their staff did an amazing job attempting to clean it up, but there was just so much washing up every morning they never really got it under control.

its funny that you say your in the preferred tower cause that room is definitely not a preferred room. I had the same room when I booked standard and only upgraded to the preferred and change rooms when I arrived and the preffered room was wayyyyyy different. the preferred tower is actually the closest one to the beach, and I can tell by your view of the quiet pool that you aren't in the closest one to the beach. Just thought Id add that :)

Just came back - yes, you will be asked almost immediately after check-in (our experience) to come back after getting to your room to set up an appointment. If you "miss" the appointment, you will get a reminder under your door. If you don't ever go back to the entrance, you'll never see them. Just say no and you'll be fine.

Given that you COULD HAVE gone to Dreams next door and used their facilities as well... I'm having a hard time determining if PREFERRED club is worth the upgrade. The Preferred area here looks very small compared to what we had last year at Cap Cana (which was AWESOME). We booked for next year at Royal Beach, but are wondering if Preferred is actually worth it.

I went there on 5.9 10 11 12.2022 for my son wedding it was so beautiful
