Grew up coon hunting with my dad. He can't hunt hardly anymore due to having back surgery. But still goes with me and just sits in truck to hear the dogs baying. I coon and hog hunt. Got some hounds for coons and use my cur and pit mixes for hogs. Cur and pit mix are smart but still strong. Full blooded pit to me is just stubborn and bull headed. They rush in without thinking and end up cut bad. That's why I crossed my pits over with curs

I remember an old man up in bristol Ga that coon hunted up till he was darn near 80 years old. He had a walker dog that was purina coon hound of the year in 92. That was one tough old man and he had some pretty good dogs too. I had some too. I could tell you a few stories I'll Gar un tee.

@@NITELIFEKENNEL No disrespect to Al.we all have those nights. After listening to the history of all his dogs we see a hunt with a slick persimmon tree and hollow tree that may be full of flying squirrels.Should have gone another night and gave Als dogs a chance to tree a coon.I dont doubt Als a coonhunting legend and valued citizen of the community.JMO.

Been watching your channel and listening to podcast for a couple of weeks now. I coon hunted a lot with my Dad growing up in SW GA. The content on this channel brings back a lot of memories. I don't own dogs and have not hunted in years so this is the next best thing for me! Keep up the good work!

I have a 1 year old Bluetick. Around the yard he’s well behaved. Comes, sits, stays, kennels. If I load him up and take him out to pasture and cut him loose he won’t come or load up. He will come back and check me, stay about 50 yds away and look at me. I’ll tell him to come, load up and he just looks at me and away he goes again. It’s so frustrating!! I’ll take all the advise I can get. Thank you
