I have many 10,000's of hours into D2. I have played it from launch, and I never stopped. I just saw you do something I had no idea you could do. I knew you could drop a potion on the merc icon to heal them, but you dropped the weapon on the icon to equip it. Some how, I am still learning new things about D2.

honestly, aren't the all res charms a bit of an overkill? You should already be WELL ABOVE MAXED thanks to gear, natural res, anni and torch. Maybe make the build even MORE efficient by replacing the 5 all res / 10 GF charms with something else / 10 GF.

Played your build yesterday for 2 hours, horked a Ber and gambled a 2-20-34fr druid circlet 🥰. Is the eth Headstriker best in slot or is last wish faster? I am having some AR issues with my merc - have you tried using beast over one ali baba to buff him up even more?

Awesome finds, man! I think HS is best, but this is in my experience. Beast will def boost his AR but at the cost of significant gold find. Perhaps having one on the swap and then hork with babas?

@@Coooley Hey, I appreciate the reply and will keep my runes and not make Last Wish. I have experimented a bit. Beast does indeed hurt the goldfind quite a lot, I didn't expect the impact to be this big. Still, I can use Crown of Thieves on the Merc now. With this he just dgaf about conviction or holy freeze. More consistency and faster runs but less gold per run. I don't know about dropping Spellsteel, the Decrepify is super helpful. Maybe beast + Lacerator to proc AD could work. I hope I can gamble a Visionary circlet of the Lamprey, that would be a sick helmet for the merc.

Sorry but the comparison is not that accurate. A2 merc is tested using Eth CoT instead of Andy's visage (that should be socketed with a 40/15 preferably) and an high ed eth +-4 Arioc's Needle for max dps.

If you use gavel, there's a debate on if a near perfect ETH Ariocs with a 40/15 / Ber / Lo / Ohm is better than a a ebotd warpike for travincal runs.

Gavel is garbage in these runs IMO. You often need more than the 3 charges you get for amp on that item, which is why we go with Spellsteal.

Hey so Fort on your goldfinder's merc is total crap! When the chilling armour procs the Council freezes and shatters so you can't use find item on the body. Considering you can sometimes get 3 piles of gold up to 100k each when you hork you're missing out on a huge amount of gold, not to mention the potential valuable item/rune drop. Chains of Honour is the best in slot, every single stat is useful... lets take a look: 8% DR, 65 res (for overcapping when council has conviction aura!), 200 ed to demons (Council are demons!)/100 ed to undead (ghouls are always in Trav), 8% LL (can get 20 with Andy's!), +2 To All Skills (higher level jab and might aura) +200% Damage To Demons (Council are demons!) +100% Damage To Undead (ghouls are always in Trav) 8% Life Stolen Per Hit (you can get 20% with Andy's!) +70% Enhanced Defense (not a negligible amount in an eth elite armour) +20 To Strength (more damage!) Replenish Life +7 (more sustain!) All Resistances +65 (conviction on the super unique Council members is common) Damage Reduced By 8% (when Emilio gets swarmed he can take a beating) 25% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items (MOAR ITAM!) Treachery and Gbane are also viable options... also EBotD is not as good as eth up Hone Sundan or eth Ariocs Needle

Happens about once every 50+ runs in my experience. Not only does it have to proc, but then has to hit a council member and NOT wear off by the time they get killed (freeze length is so short). Even then, sometimes it just... doesn't shatter the body lol. Not worth sac'ing high, high damage output and speed.

do yourself a favour and dont start with a barb aiming for trav runs. its impossibro as a first character. you need very specific gear for your merc and yourself, otherwise you loose more gold rezzing your merc then you gain from farming travi. if you realy want to play barb, go for a pit zerker with act1 merc and harmony for the vigor aura. that is at least somewhat realistic to achieve.
