For all the "old rock fans" out there who hate Miley Cyrus, YES, she was invited to perform. Miley and Taylor Hawkins were neighbors in LA, they were FRIENDS. Taylor sent her a voice text saying that he wanted Miley to sing "photograph" because he thought it would sound amazing with her voice. Taylor also passed away when Miley was touring the same festivals in South America as Foo Fighters. So yeah, she belonged at that tribute concert.

Any "old rock fan" that hates Miley Cyrus simply hasn't been paying attention the last several years. She's been doing her damnedest to bring rock to a generation of kids that wouldn't know good music if it slapped them in the face. That includes originals as well as covers. She's doing The Lord's work and doing it well. All while being on fire she's so frikkin' hot.

Loved the additional touch of having Olivia Newton Johns image on the other drum set s Bass drum that is something Taylor would have definitely done as a mark of respect if he were alive .

This was amazing! So great! Any naysayers, these tributes were about Taylor and his friends and music he loved. I thought the foo fighters did such an incredible job.

My very first concert was Def Leppard on the Hysteria tour. It was a great way to start the concert going part of my life. 300 miles each way, but part of any great adventure is the journey itself. My second favorite concert was, as it happens, the Foo Fighters with the Chili Peppers... R.I.P. Taylor

Miley demonstrated early in the song that her vocal performance would blow away Joe Elliots and she essentially moved into a backing role. As a 57 year old, I was a big fan of Def Leppard when I was in high school, but his voice has seen better days. I'd dig hearing Miley fully cover the song one day.

I noticed that as well. I'm sure it aint easy when you have pipes like hers to just lay back and fill in when you know you could MURDER that song. In another life that girl could have been huge in just about ANY genre... including opera. I think she's the best overall musical artist in America right now. There's really nothing she can't sing well.

Dude? You scream every night for a week and let me know how that goes. As vocalists, we need to stay in our lane. Drugs and alcohol are a contributing factor as well. When you lose it, better to lower an octave. Adapt.

Exactly. Class act. She could have overpowered every voice in that concert, but chose restraint and respect. Not even a fan of hers but I may be now

Def Leppard and the successor band to Nirvana, on one stage together, and joined by Miley Cyrus. Forget about different eras and genres, at the end of the day a great band is a great band.

I would love to know how many songs Grohl has learned - from the many covers that Foo Fighters have done, the shows playing for Tom Petty, Queens of the Stone Age songs that he wasn't the drummer on and the vast number of songs he learned for these tribute concerts. It's astounding to me.

Don’t care what anyone says. THAT WAS A HOT MESS!!! No feeling one way or the other about Cyrus, but they all sucked in that rendition. BIG TIME!
