Nah man, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell are some vocal legends of rock. She needs to definitely take the real rock path and get away from pop The band name Temple of the Dog comes from the lyrics of Mother Love Bones song 'Man of Golden Words' which is essentially a tribute to music itself. Temple of the Dogs was a one album tribute to Mother Love Bones singer Andrew Wood who died after taking what's called a hot shot (tainted heroin) a shit load of people in Seattle that week died from the same batch. Mother Love Bones opening act who was influenced by them was Alice In Chains, after Wood died, the band basically became two new legendary bands, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. The whole thing is ride with straight up rock legends.

Yeah, once I allowed myself to look at Miley in a 'not Disney' light I realized the woman comes with power, soul, and true talent. IDC, I think she is great and her rendition of this, and her other powerful covers, are absolutely stellar.

Miley is the best female vocalist of her generation and somehow that has been overlooked by the fact that she made pop music as a teen when she was on a Disney show?

If that wasn’t the greatest vocally emotionally incredible thing I’ve ever heard then I don’t know what or where it was. Stunning. Much respect for Miley and please God fest in peace Chris. Miss you dude.

@@mysonandme8424 the greatest vocally emotionally incredible thing is from Linkin Park with One More Light at the Kimmel's show (a tribute to Chris Cornell too). This, this is so painful

Great show all around. I watched in amazement from the cheap seats as she won over a skeptical crowd of grunge lovers, myself included, with amazing stage presence, emotion, passion, vocal power and humility. She was a surprising highlight on a stage where Metallica, Audioslave and many other undeniable rock stars had performed on the same bill. I was blown away by Miley and look forward to her joining the pantheon of great rock n roll singers.

@@loopsruby Could not agree with you more Ruby. Of all of the great acts I've seen over the years the ones who resonate at the highest emotional level for me are indeed those for whom I had neither familiarity nor expectations. I had a similar experience the first time I went to see the Old Crow Medicine Show, who knew blue grass roots music could be punk?

After Miley's incredible performance, my next favourite thing about this video is the person at the end saying "that was amazing. My respect for her has just doubled"... She is crazy talented at whatever she puts her talent to and should be able to explore all the genres she wants without fear of judgement. Every music fan deserves to hear her amazing voice.
