Try rubbing hlue and baking soda, the baking soda acts as a mild abrasive and the glue a solvent so it should lift any dirt right up.

Hi guys, just a question. Should you replace your bottom head as well as the top or just the top? On my snare, high tom, middle tom and floor tom I have an Evans head on the top and the stock Pearl one on the bottom. Is this ok?

Yeah bro if ur drum head bad on top then replace that one there is no need to replace the one on the bottom

Try poking a hole in the reso drumhead, what you'll find alot of times is that the cheaper drum heads will have a lot of overtones that can be silenced. Also when buying new heads just put the old batter as the reso and then put the new one as batter.

You don't need to change the resonant head because you're changing the batter side head, but I've heard it's worth replacing the stock heads that come with a kit because they usually aren't very good and getting proper heads will make it easier to make the drum sound nicer.

You can use a pillow, mallet pad, or you can get an evens head that has a mallet pad and dampener ring around the edge. (The only con to the Evans head I mentioned is that the dampener ring breaks and the head sounds horrible without it.)
