Just ordered some for my Tundra. Been wanting some for months, but they were always sold out or unavailable in the size I wanted. Picked up 4 for $1200 tax in 275/65/20. Best value tire on the market in my opinion and amongst the highest rated for consumer satisfaction as well. I love the RWL look. I have a blacked out truck and I think it will look fantastic.

For the last 3 years I’ve had the Copper Discover AT tires in 265/60R20 (weight capacity per tire is around 3,100 lbs) on my 2015 2500HD Duramax. I pull a 12k toy hauler during the winter. In June of 2021 while on a long trip the belts separated and a bulge was created on the tread of 1 tire. Sept. 2021 on another road trip 2 other tires of these original 4 had belts break and bulges created on the tread. Not towing anything on both occasions. Do you have the 275/65R20 tires rated at about 3700 lbs per tire and is your truck stock (no lift kit)?

Thanks for the great review, exactly what I was looking for. I think this will be my next tire (same truck and year). Quick question...the stock Michelin's pick up and throw rocks all over the place on gravel roads, are these better (if you noticed same of course)? Thanks again.
@AdventuringToday4 жыл бұрын
Yes..those Michelins did pick up and throw rocks. It drove me crazy...then I put in fender liners and it made a big difference. I thought it was a bit excessive. All tires will do this but the Michelins seems to be in a world of their own. I have not noticed nearly as many rocks picked up or thrown with the Coopers. If the Michelins didn't throw them then they got stuck all over inside the lugs...Coopers seem to be free of rocks most of the time. Hope that helps! I just posted a video on winter performance of the Coopers...check it out! kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3i3fKOAd9ijoqs

You will probably get new tires before I will. I'm curious how these at3 xlt are compared to toyo open country at3. I currently have the toyo at3. So much better then the disappointing at2 toyo I had. So I'm highly impressed with the toyo at3 but may try out these cooper at3 xlt for a comparison and decide the best from there. If anyone has feedback on the comparison between these 2 I would greatly appreciate it. Also love the white lettering I wish toyo did.
@boatanchorengineworks90054 жыл бұрын
How has you opinion of the solid white lettering been for these tires? I think I preferred the previous outlined letters. Its a trivial feature but the BW/OWL/RWL options on tires always change how a truck looks.
@AdventuringToday4 жыл бұрын
It is actually still looking really good...when I clean it. I should probably do a video on that...might be a good idea. I like the entire letters being white...the lettering is less susceptible to damage and it seems to stand out a bit more.

I am really considering these tires for my ram 2500 diesel. Just put the discover at3 4S on my wife's jeep and really like them. One thing I just noticed from watching this video is that the tread on the sidewalls don't match up from one side of the truck to the other. Almost looks like they are directional. Not sure if this could be corrected🤔.
@AdventuringToday4 жыл бұрын
Yes...good question...these tires can go any direction. On my truck, when I rotate, I move the back to the front and keep the sides the same then I criss cross the fronts to the back...front left goes to right rear, front right goes to left rear. They are wearing very evenly and I have over 30,000 miles on them now. Happy to hear you like the 4S...considering those as my next tire for my Expedition. Good luck!
@richard667544 жыл бұрын
I have these on my 2006 Titan, and it squirms all over the road when towing a five thousand pound trailer. I have well over 30 k on them. I gave that truck to my son and went and got myself a Titan XD diesel, and am very hesitant about putting these tires on it for towing, because of that squirming you speak of. In the mud, snow, and loose gravel, they are great.
@AdventuringToday4 жыл бұрын
I am surprised to hear you were still getting the squirms at 30K. My F250 pulls our 11,500 trailer with no squirm at all. It is rock solid. Could the squirm have been more of the truck...now that you have the XD maybe it handles that trailer better? I bed the engine in your XD is pretty amazing. I need to test drive one of those someday soon! Congrats on the truck.
@richard667544 жыл бұрын
@@AdventuringToday They might perform different on my Titan XD because it has 20" wheels with shorter sidewalls, and is fairly responsive to input from the steering wheel. My older Titan has 18" wheels and the Coopers are kind of balloony feeling. It feels like it's bobbling around on the tires.

I have a 2016 Ford F350 Club Cab with original tires: Tire Size: LT275/65R20/E Michelin - LTX A/T2 with 39000 miles on the Truck & Tires. A tire just blew on the highway today 6/17/2021 and caused quite a bit of damage to the Rear Fender. It was on the highway and the temp was 105 F and my speed was 70 MPH. Now I don't know what to do I don't trust the other tires on the Truck!!! However, they are supposed to run 60,000 miles. These are supposed to be the best tires you can buy. List price on these tires is over 500.00 each. but now I am thinking of changing Brands! Plus, I have all this damage to my Truck. I do have pictures of everything. Note: There was a very large Explosion when the tire blew without any warning. I was still about 100 miles from Home. So, I put on the spare, stopped at the first stop I could about 2 miles down the road to check the tire pressure on the spare. It only had 45 lbs. of air. So, I added air to the spare and continued home without any more issues.

MAJOR ISSUE with these tires. I've had these tires for 30k miles on my RAM and used it almost identical as you and have absolutely loved them in most conditions. Recently I seen a post about someone having cracking on the sidewall and sure enough I had some deep cracks around most of the tire, aprox. 1/2 inch from the rim bead area, on all 4 of my tires. This could have caused a serious accident in the event of a blowout while pulling my TT. I immediately removed these tires from my truck. Just trying to raise awareness before someone has an accident.

@AdventuringToday4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. Sorry for the delay. I was traveling out of town for Thanksgiving. I have not had much snow time with these tires as of yet...not enough to form an opinion but I know they are at least as good as the Michelins that came on the truck. MPG's are also at least as good as the Michelins. They are nearly as quiet which is one of the key benefits of the Michelin AT2's. I really am impressed with the looks, off road traction (the few times I've needed it) and the overall ride and quietness of these Coopers. Nothing is offensive about the tires at all. They just do their job reliably and in a way that gets the most performance out of the truck. Just my opinion here...but at anything over 40-45,000 miles I would expect truck tires to start picking up some noise. Some may generate noise sooner. So I wouldn't knock the BFG's for that unless it happened really early. My guess is Coopers will be quieter than the BFG's. Hope that helps.

Well I just put a set of these Coopers on my 08 Tundra. My first impression of them in the 2 snowstorms we have had in the last week is just ok. They are no BFG’s by any means as far as snow traction. My traction control light is on quite a bit. Today’s storm was a lot of slush and they worked okay. I worry what they will be like next winter already. I hope this wasn’t a mistake going with this brand. Time will tell I guess.
