There was also a documentary coming out two weeks after. And that one is at least accurate. The series have caused a lot of people to think that they shot their parents whole they were eating ice cream on the couch and they did it for the money, that Erik is gay and Lyle some sort of a psychopath. All gossip that Ryan Murphy wanted to add. In fact. The parents had eaten pizza. They were not eating ice cream and they weren't even watching tv. The tv was on though. José was standing when he got shot. According to the autopsy report. Lyle just got a condo from their father and he was getting 2 million dollar to start his own business. Even the prosecutors couldn't prove money as a motive, because that made zero sense. Erik had a girlfriend when he got arrested. According to his girlfriend he was a perfect boyfriend. He took her to work and waited in his car, her entire shift. He is married to a woman. Yet they chose to portray him as gay. Lyle was wetting the bed until 14 years old and had about 20 stuffed animals, all had names, that he needed for emotional support. He had them late teens. They were both tested by psychiatrist and Lyle had the emotional age of a 10 year old (at 21) and Erik that of an 8 year old (at 18)
