Cooper, that mural is deep. It actually says “help, hayti is choking.” if you notice there's also an S.O.S. that's bleeding on the top left of the mural. That's powerful!

KNPK- its a movement that's been taking place in Haiti that started in the central department in a city named Oanaminth, where the people have organizedwith local engineers to build a canal to help with Haitian agriculture. The Dominican government and a few locals were in great opposition of this canal being built, this the phrase was coined “Kanal la pap kanpe” meaning the Kamal will not stop being constructed. Since then multiple canals have been built around the country through the funds of the diaspora and the sweat of the locals. Zero assistance of the government.

I think the Haitian lady was a little to paranoid about that botanica store. It is clear that in her childhood they told her some weird stories. She kind of made Cooper scare also. I want to believe that a botanica is just a store for people who are into certain spiritualities, occult sciences and voodoo etc.
@MsSosoBelle
@MsSosoBelle Күн бұрын
Now Coop.. Don't go walking into Botanicas if you get spooked easily. Gotta have an open and fearless mind. That one was kind of small tho..which is why it felt like a hoarding situation. You should try Santa Barbara Botanica (on NE 57th St.), or "St. Isidore & Carmel Botanica" (on 164 NE. 54th St. Miami.)..... and NOT you looking for Gayelle from love & hiphop 🤣😂

Coop as a native New Orleanian, NOLA has a lot of Hatian, and voodoo was well known. I do not blame your tour guide NOT going into that business. She knows not to invite trouble. I would have turned around when I saw the black cat!

Kanal la pap kanpe means the canal won't standstill, it's a slogan of determination of building the first modern canal that haiti really needed, eventho the DR was doing many things to stop haiti they didn't stop and now they are growing a lot of rise and the prise also dropped, so now there is 4 canals and 3 of em is still in process if i'm not mistaken but yeah man it's great that the haitian diaspora and their foreign friends helped with a trusted non-profit that showcased the receits and progress, how they are building a brigde 🇭🇹✊🏽💯 This the new way we show L'union fait la force (Unity makes force/strenght)

It's a way of saying they are of Haitian descent. She was born here (USA) but of Haitian descent so she can't just say she's Haitian.

Cause she has no american blood but was born in america. A 100% pure german shepard born in america is still a pure bred german shepard😂 Another example: Chinese-jamaicans. Etcetcetcetc 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hatian-American is different from African-American.. Also the americans/jamaicans/other countrys have historically clashed with the hatians due to them not liking the hatians...
