I know it's easier to talk to the police, and sometimes it's a good idea, just being honest to the cop can get you out of a ticket, but really your supposed to keep your mouth shut. The cop's boss was too quick to deny the victim's claims. They probably operate together and do it on the daily. The girl asking for the count to skip numbers or reduce numbers with slight of hand tricks. The victim was right to not give them a exact number this is probably why the sergeant gave in and opened the door.

im pretty sure the female officer was asking the amount before hand so if it wasnt there they would have more tangible proof it was missing with no doubts about him making up a number based on what they currently had. making it more likely to do thorough searches right away as opposed to if they dont find it immediately which might make them dismiss it cus they think he made it up, and that would allow the cop to get away with it. or if the amount was correct to know things are all fine right away

It's not like he can sue without proper evidence like a bank receipt or in this instance bodycam footage. You can also see the sergeant staring at the thief's feet movement, but not say anything. They were working together.

​@@FogandRain227 she wants to establish the amount before counting so you have the counted and mentioned amounts be independent, while if you say an amount after counting it can be more influenced. it is much more solid that way, it also provides them with reason to keep searching if they cant find it easily (which didnt matter in this scenario, but if he had stuffed it in his underwear or something they might not find it easily and a missing amount being established would prompt more intense search of the corrupt cop)

Xqc has never heard of Civil Asset Forfeiture. Seen cops take anything from a dude's savings he was taking in cash to another bank to people full on getting their homes seized and locked in limbo for years in legal battles. Seen countless bodycam videos of people with a few K maybe 10K in cash and it pretty much is always seized and the battle to get it back is pretty rough. Heard the Supreme court recently had a ruling supporting the status quo of Civil Asset Forfeiture instead of giving the owners speedy hearings.
