In Sweden police now have the power to take anything they deep too expensive for you to own in relation to your income, meaning if you got an expensive watch from your dead uncle, police technically can take it as precautionary measure as you are too poor to be able to own one, meaning we have criminalized being poor and the defendant need to prove it's legal. Also if you borrow a car from your friend and had dept to the government, they can take that car as yours regardless of whom owns it on paper. Sweden has now become a police state, yet lower the requirement to become a police, this is geared to be a complete failure

The officer returns the firearm once their safety is established and then the responsibly is placed back on the gun owners. Common sense is a super rare thing to find now a days...

I got pulled over once and for some reason they called the k9 unit. They asked if they could search the car, I was in a hurry and I said sure. The k9 asked if I had a gun (constitutional carry) I said I don't know, possibly. He laughed, ran the dog around the outside of the car and said your good, no need to search the inside. I was out fast, no need to carry crap on. Here things are little different just like each state.

It's a Tesla. They have auto-presenting handles on some models. Its POSSIBLE the troopers proximity or him tapping on the handle caused it to pop out. If the driver is in park and because the phone/fob is in proximity, it might have allowed him to auto-unlock when pulling the handle. NONE of that excuses the cop even TRYING to open the door and reach in.

I wish it were that simple. QI is the legal condom to protect a lawsuit from moving forward unless there is clearly established case law. In this case, US v Rodriguez applies. The issue here is indemnification. It means that it's on the taxpayer. While there is insurance, the increased cost to premiums because of wrongdoing is something the rest of us have to bear.

so let me get this straight... He has a legal and valid permit to carry in that state. They want to check to make sure that that gun is registered to him, thus meaning that he would be on a list with that gun. almost like they've never heard of other states or private sales. In my state, a private sale is legal and doesn't require registration (buying from a store is auto registered). which means in my state, cops don't get to make sure it's registered to YOU, they just check to ensure it's not stolen. and only when a search is lawful or incident to arrest.
