The COP29 summit has successfully reached an agreement among countries around the world to finance measures to combat climate change, after a mass walkout disrupted a 30-hour marathon meeting. The deal will see more than $460 billion spent per year by 2035 on helping developing countries overcome climate challenges. Climateworks Australia CEO Anna Skarbek says the agreement is still ‘not enough’ despite representing ‘significant progress’.
