Backpacking through Honduras in 2020 for the first time and we visited the Copan Ruins. We came in via road from Guatemala to see the ruins of the Mesoamerican city. This former capital of a Maya Kingdom had been on my bucket-list for a while, but I hadn't been able to figure out a way to get there until a few months ago. This video should provide you with a brief introduction to the Copan and it's history in a fun way. As usual let me know if you have any questions about the place and I will get back to you asap

Hey! The town of Copan Ruinas is really safe and a tourist spot for people from the region. In Honduras in general, you should exercise proper safety precautions if you're outside the touristy parts near the beaches and places like Copan. But if you stick to those spots and go around in private shuttles (plenty of services in Central America), you should have no issues :)

Hi! Great video, fun/funny comments! Question: why did you need a visa to visit? Second--you do think it's a cool under-appreciated site? I read something else recently that said "meh" and I thought your video made it sound definitely worthwhile, though we'd also be catching a shuttle from Antigua so I'm not sure about all of that travel. Worth it? Have you been to Calakmul? I'm thinking it might be a bit like that...it is super cool to visit a low-visitation, lesser-known ruins, for sure. Finally, how were you able to hang out with those monkeys?? lol Thanks!!!

Thanks for a nice video. What do you think about flying into San pedro Airport? If so what are the transportation options?

You need to post a comprehensive review of the tuk-tuk experience in the countries you've been to. For me, Columbia = India > Cambodia > Thailand

Haha that would have been interesting. Should have taken notes. I don't think I used one in Colombia, but India/Bangladesh felt more comfortable than Thailand. And Honduras ones are identical to the ones in Bangladesh (except ours are all green). Has to be the same manufacturer

@@NadirOnTheGo Thai ones have aluminum floors, which are the worst in the rain.

The reasons for why you see so many cultural similarities among the maya and the Aztec, is simply because they both originated in Mexico. The first settlers of the America’s were the Olmec who settled in the eastern states of Mexico. The Maya inherited the “Mayan” calendar from the Olmec. The Olmec were also the first mesoamerican group to use cacao.
