Pulled many Pillars out. The infinity is a easy one. Sectioning is also easy. Both ways are safe pending the person doing the repairs knows there job. Buy a couple doors and send it.

The Jeeps damage is probably the body bolt mounts on the body bent, not the frame ..IMHO.. if the bolts are angled but the frame is flat .. think of the point of leverage of a side body hit.. the body moves and the frame doesn't bolts sticking out 6" are a leverage point.. mounts on the body get bent and bolts point towards the direction of the hit.

With that Jeep Wrangler, I have a feeling the repair facility began repairs before receiving authorization from the insurance company and so stopped as soon as insurance said no. OR they gave a visual inspection, said it was repairable and then along the way, found out it wasn't. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Seeing that boat reminded me of the time my mom was driving down the highway in her tahoe when a guy towing a boat side swiped her. The boat he was towing hit the tahoe while he was trying to force himself into the lane. There had been other vehicles on all sides so there was nothing she could have done. He was found at fault of couse.

I know you typically don't do body work, but this is something I think you can handle along with your favorite Maaco paint job, be great to see a bit of ez body work on the channel.

Why do you always replace the crash bar or say it needs to be replaced if it's still in tact with minor bends or small imperfections? Just wondering, because on 90% of the cars you say the crash bar would habe to be replaced they have minimal bends. Totally useable and would be un seen/noticed once ya throw on the bumper cover lol

Randy, I did a damaged frame swap on my 2013 and found that even with the new frame, the mounts were not straight due to a few of the bolts were bent and also a couple of the mounts were bent so I wouldn't say that the frame is necessarily bent. I bought this truck at Copart inspired by your channel without knowing the extent of the damage until I got it home and found that the frame could not be straightened. Inspired by some of your channel content working in your driveway and not being able to fit the truck in my garage, I decided to swap the frame in my driveway. I also thought that folks might be able to get some value from recording the project and I started my own KZbin Channel "Easy Simple Mechanic". I can relate to so many things that you do on your channel so keep up the good work and if you don't find it too intrusive, please give my channel a shout out. I am not monetized yet and as you know, keeping this kind of work up is not cheap. BTW, I work on houses as well so I appreciate you sharing that content as well. Enjoy.... The Infiniti EX35 is a crossover/wagon based on the Infiniti G35/37 and shares a lot of parts with the Nissan Z platform. It may be a crossover mom car, but they are extremely fun and pretty quick with a 0-60 of 5.5 seconds. I almost bought one, but ended up getting a great deal on a G37x sedan.

Randy it doesn't take damage to the rails to be considered frame damage. Damage to any structural component is considered frame/structural damage. That B pillar on the Jeep is the issue.

The Infiniti B piller can be repaired by pulling it just need to grind down to bare metal and use a stud gun and slide hammer to pull it then do finishing work body filler prime paint done. Easy job to do

Randy, good eye on the frame of the Jeep. I think Mike's opinion would be interesting. Definite good frame straightener would be needed. RX8 would be a nice project for your channel. Repair or get a different motor. Larson makes a very good boat. Model would mean it's a 22.8' long. Buyer should get a used trailer for it. I wouldn't mess with trying to repair its trailer

Jeep is a ez fix if the frame is bent just unbend it body might be tweaked to the passenger side or re do the frame . Ive done a bunch of jeeps

Nothing wrong with the 4.0 V6 in the mustang with a stick. Has virtually the same specs as the early 90s 5.0 and has more than enough go (with the stick).

The key to ROtary is mix oil in the gas like a weed whacker.. but that is not recommended by mazda .. so no one does it... unless they know rotary's... and also dont drive it like you stole it ALL the time.. but they love to rev.. Had a RX7 its was great

I saw the hitch for the trailer laying inside the boat, the boat looks like an easy fix with fiberglass repair from what I could see. But that trailer looks like its going be an ass pain with both axles shifted in their spring perches and its unknown whether the axles them selves are bent too. I would probably look for a better one. Looks like your weather improved a little bit, I was waiting for you to turn into an ice cube when was that? Last week? Lol : )

The Jeep looks like the tub is bent and not the frame it's less likely to bend all them mounts before the tub floor it's thin sheet metal that would flex with the side impact . I think it's still repairable if you lift the body and square up everything and you can do the two inch body mount lift while you're there . This has always been a thing with Jeeps as they get older these sections of the frame rot off and have to weld in new ones so it's not that big of a deal but the insurance companies have to replace the whole frame parts and labor with paint and body is probably 25k or more so it gets totaled by them . What is the asking price ? If it cheap you could probably put this back together for 4-6 grand if you can do the work yourself .

Grind the B pillar back to bare metal on the Nissan and use a spot weld puller then paint then swop out the bent panels.

For the jeep, It looks like the body itself is tweaked, not the frame. I guess whatever hit it pushed the body over on the frame and bent those mounts, Not the mounts on the frame itself

Sorry Randy rotors engines is the most reliable I own 83 RX7 no issues just need to keep your eye on the oil level. I’ve owned 9 rotary s in my life time. Great channel brother keep strong.

I used to have the same RX8 in that colour scheme.. looked like michael Jackson left his thriller costume in it Haha.. mine was a 6 speed manual which was the high output 231. If you see a 5 speed it's the lower powered one. 👍

Maybe after you get your shop set up you can look at getting a Frame machine or get a Vechicle one flood damage again . Then get a wreak one for parts as you did with the Dart if the Price is Right . I pour a slab or pave a area to store or due smaller repair on . Evey thing COST $$ I been thinking of adding a pad or two at my house then a Lift help so MUCH .

Hello randy. I think youre missing something about the damage on these cars. These cars come from certafide shops. These shops will not fix or straigyhten anything. they only replace and paint as nesasary with oem parts only. my truck had bent frame horn. eazy fix. But because they are certified. they replaced the frame with anew one. they told that is the way the insuranse company insist on it being done. by the way you dont start a tesla

Glad there was power but not for long, I'd its warm still outside the A.C. will be on to keep the electronics cool so it wont be damaged, once the battery goes dead then possible expensive paper weight.

Insurance couldn't have it repaired to pre accident condition. If you got underneath and took measurements the frame could be bent. You can see the body sticking out on opposite side of hit by an inch so so.

Randy think about it this way what car have you ever known that can be fixed and made better from a free download? The car keeps getting better with software. If I had a house with a garage I would love to have one, but it is no longer in my price range. If I could afford it I would wait until they have 5g added to the car then that car will be an entirely different animal. One complaint they do not have apple car play in it but that could be done thru a software update I could be done thru a software update suppose

that 8 is a great platform....it's just got that subpar renesis rotary in it....If i could afford it...i would yank that stock renesis engine out....replace it with a 13B REW that came out of the third gen rx7...and be done with it...it's alot of work due to the engine being so far back and up under the windshield cowling, and having to rewire for the ecu....but worth it in the long run.....the stock renesis was never meant to be ran hard and redlined like other rotaries....It was made for grandma driving....which oddly enough does just as much damage as running it hard n fast.

The 3rd Best Nikka Shop in your area Agree. Often they give a quote to get the job then up it once they start the job. Had that done to one of my cars before. They lost on that one because the adjustment check came to my house and I tore it up after insurance called me about it and I explained the situation.

Randy. The Tesla can be started in one of 2 ways. First by having the app on your phone that has established communication with the car. The second way is with a credit card key you lay on the console just in front of the armrest. Without either you practically have to have Elon Musks private number :). Tesla is not keen on helping rebuild salvage cars. Check our Rich Rebuilds

Randy, as Carmax told DDE, any cutting on the body is referred to as frame damage. The spliced in rocker panel on the Jeep, would definitely be considered frame damage.
