I had one of these, an ("SL" not VR4 tho) for 12 years, daily driver. The best most fun car I ever owned. Great on gas tho no one ever believed me. The most common problem was a lifter tap, (design flaw)but I used synthetic oil and Lucas products, no problem. The worst problem was the power window regulator kept breaking. A small piece of plastic in the assembly kept wearing out. I still miss that car.
