I have a '95 Ram 1500 in the same configuration but 4WD & 318. Bought it with 117K, but needing driver seat repair, a headliner and the paint was "Biodegradable." The original owner was a customer and scored it for $1200 over 6 years ago. Over time fixed the interior, put a tu-tone paint job (factory silver w/ that champagne tint in the clear and Lexus 6V4 "Spruce Mica" on the lower section, wheels, back bumper and the front chrome bumper 'chin strap'), and full maintenance. The transmission was recalled/replaced before I got it, put a Magnaflow exhaust & catalytic converter (it started to rattle inside), a new all-aluminum radiator (water pump, hoses & T-stat as well), a starter, a fuel pump (and the fuel hose pieces), Akebono brake pads & Rotor-Pro rotors- all the consumable parts replaced not due to failure but to prevent issues. 6+ years later it has 146K, has never broke down. I put tires on it in November and then drove it from Seattle to NC.

I have a h3 and love it. The reason yours didn't start was because the pass lock feature was on. It's the security system. If you look on your video when you were trying to crank it over there was a bright red lock symbol on the dash that stayed on. H3s are notorious for passlock failure. If it turns on you have to wait 10 minutes and retry to start the h3. Then it will start

I'd love to own that gold C1500. I used to occasionally drive a truck just like that one but white for a delivery job that I had back in the mid 90s. The 5-speed really makes driving it fun, I do remember the clutch pedal having a lot of resistance to it. It was almost impossible to get it moving without a little clutch chatter because the clutch pedal was so springy.

I used to have a 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE. It was my mom's, she bought it used in 2003 and I took it in 2016 and drove it a few years. Used it when I was doing commercial roofing and had to drive 100 plus miles a day. Then I used it for delivering pizzas driving over 200 miles a night. I put over 50k miles on it in a year! I drove the car hard, plus it had sat for a few years b4 I took it over. My dad had his truck so he didn't need to use the car. Only time he used my mom's car/the maxims, was when/if something broke on his truck .

The hummer looks to be a security malfunction where the fuel pump shuts off my hummer has had that happen and it would only crank but wouldn’t start. After letting it sit there for about 10 minutes it was able to start. I could be wrong though but just a thought

@ 15:42 - "moldy" Hummer - I had a truck get flooded while parked, insurance salvaged it. I bought it back, changed all the oils and spread "baking soda" all over the interior after it dried. Baking soda removed the smell after a week. Sucked it up & never had the odor return.

Bid on that 5 speed Chevy. Nice little work truck. I just bought a 5 speed 4.6L Ford F150 for the same reason- even though the 4.6L isn't as torquey as the 5.4L, the 5 speed kinda makes up for it. It's not fast... but it tows and it hauls nicely w/the 5 speed.

Like your show and I have a 2006 Hummer H3 and needed to tell you somethings about them.When you put your jumper box on the battery you never put the negative on the battery if you look at the motor you will see a piece of metal with the negative symbol on it for that. So when you put it on the battery the Hummer went into security mode to keep you from stilling it. and as for the water demage the sun roof on them are bad to leak. But is a easy fix.And if the battery was good and could have been charged it will not work for the Hummer.

The gold Chevy looks like a good buy. The first two pickups if they went reasonably enough might be a good deal if you went in with the outlook that they need money spent on them. Not a BMW fan but I don't mind sneaking up behind a sleeping bear and sticking it in the backside with a short, sharp, stick to see who's fastest and a diesel BMW would certainly qualify. That first truck had the same problem my dad's 1996 blazer had. 160k miles and one day when my dad was driving, the engine threw a rod. They are good engines but once you get to over 120k, it's all a matter of time before it's toast. In my dad's case, he didn't drive too often and so the oil was not changed as often as it should have been.
