The right person will rebuild that Continental. Definitely has a lot of life left in it. The biggest challenge would be budget since they didn’t make very many and most are still too new for the junk yard finding a donor car is nearly impossible in some areas. Your only option would be dealer parts or new aftermarket.

Randy: suggestion. If your jump pack has a cigarette lighter plug receptical, utilize it with a cord with a male cigarette lighter power plug on each end to power the electric circuits of the vehicle that you can't easily access the battery in to hook your jump pack up. Once plugged in you can electrically open the trunk to access the vehicle battery. Give er a try.

Off topic question Randy if you can't answer, no problem. Do you ever miss that Hellcat? I just got a 2018 charger Hellcat in octane red. I used to have a 2017 and sold that one 2 years ago. That tan Mercedes might be in "Tow mode" where there is an emergency lever that disengages the transmission for being able to roll it on and off a tow truck.

I’ve got a 2008 GL, the auxiliary battery controls the gear shift! It’s an electronic shift so it operates on a seperate battery so that should your main battery be depleted you can still shift out of Park.

On the W219 CLS the window position needs to be reset if the battery dies or is disconnected, that is why it didn't shut fully when you closed the door. To do that you turn the key to position 1, close all doors, then completely close the window and keep holding the switch for a few seconds after it is fully closed. I love W219s, but that 550 is way too far gone. They just aren't worth enough to bother saving that one.

I have noticed that many of the Mercedes shown on this channel are missing the middle of the grill. This car has regularly ridden hard and put away wet. Whoever keyed the car to total it did the owner a favor. Check the owners trophy case for the badge. Check the keys for paint.

The CLS 550 is a dumpster fire. Even if you bought it for 1$, the cost of putting things right would end up costing more than buying a sorted CLS of the same year and mileage.

Air compressor is left front under the bumper of CLS. The SBC module for the brakes are under warranty by Mercedes for 25 years, unlimited miles. Those cars don't have great resale. Only the real AMG W219 CLS are worth the effort.

I think I told you about having a bmw k1200lt 850 lb of bike. I got it for 500 did several of the things that typically go wrong with them. Final drive fuel lines. Bit of a pain remove all the fairing step one for everything on that bike. It rode like a dream on the open road, where it was ment to be. I ended up selling it for 2000, a nice profit but not ment for the shorter trips I like to do. I will miss the heated grips and seats and the while riding adjustable wind screen
