Love the card, always do!! I am loving me some dunkin donuts coffee. My son got us some for Christmas and now that is all I drink! He got more for his fathers birthday but my husband passed away 2 weeks before his birthday, he gave me the coffee anyway, and my birthday was the 28th of may and guess what he got me? Dunkin donuts coffee! I was in costco a while back and overheard a man tell his wife that he wouldn't pay that much for coffee! I told him it is so worth it! He asked me if I worked for the company, LOL! I think he bought some, hope he got hooked too!

Great Video and now I want ice cream and Dunkin Donuts but its a thirty mile drive it's not happening! Love your stories and always laugh at your antics. Also in the south red-chocolate frosting is called red devil frosting! we even add red coloring to the chocolate cake to match because in the south you have to match or you don't go out in public!

Okay, first, you are an amazing colorist. I can't even. Second, I've made the purple frosting too. The struggle is real, people. If you layer your purple frosted train cake with enough candy, your kid will barely complain about the color (though your mother will helpfully point out that the cake matches NOTHING in the rest of your red and yellow party.) The trick is to make the frosting a few days ahead of time and leave it in the fridge. The color will deepen and you will have red frosting. It also helps to use a really good quality food coloring (which you can get at Michael's with a coupon if you are cheap like me) and not the stuff from the grocery store. Happy birthday to your little guy and to your sister!

Hi friend! Fun coloring, as always it looks amazing. But what I really adore is that you just roll with it. I um... needed to make a Target run after picking up my daughter from Gymnastics and I was like “Shh, don’t look at my legs too much, I didn’t have time to shave. Can you even tell?” She’s all “well yeah but who cares!” Good answer, you have learned well young one. LOL! The girl at Dunkin’ Donuts has no clue what mommin’ and workin’ and doing all the things is like. Clueless. It takes all my energy sometimes just to get myself out of the house. Like why???? 😂🤣😂. This is so adorable and yummy looking! Cupcakes!! A quick(?) story. 40 some years ago I had made cupcakes for our daughter to take to preschool. My sister in law decorated them really fancy with all kinds of small flowers. The morning she was to go to school, our other daughter was sick, so my husband had to drive her. Shen she came home, i asked her if the kids liked the cupcakes. She was so excited; “ they loved them and Sheila was the winner and found 5 rocks in hers!” WHAT?? Well, i had put the cupcakes in a long lower sided box, hubby had balanced it along his arm so he could open the car door, the box had buckled and dumped most of the cupcakes frosting side down, of course, on the garage floor! He picked them up, put them back in the box and took her to school!! Well, her birthday is in January and so there is always salt pellets and small gravel that comes into the garage on the tires. Apparently, the kids had a great time seeing how many surprise rocks were in their frosting!! Sheila was the winner. I asked him why he hadn’t told me when he go back home and he said “ they all looked ok to me!! That might be the reason that homemaker snacks were banned at preschool. The joys of it all. TFS

For red frosting you need to get Wiltons NO TASTE red food coloring gel. It works wonders. It takes a bit to get your frosting to be red but you won't get a nasty dye taste.

Nails are very pretty today as usual. I ALWAYS have my nails done with glitter of some sort. And I LOVE hot pink!!! So glad the cupcakes got done!!! I have resorted to “garage” parties at times!!! I have even hosted a rehearsal dinner in my garage!!! We are awaiting subtropical storm Alberto at the moment. 48 cupcakes!!! Whoa!!! I would eat choc with vanilla frosting!!! I love how your card came out, Kelly!!! Though I can't help but wonder why there is a straw in a sundae. Am I missing something? And I assume the waffle cone in the print is just for added texture? Maybe I'm just over-analyzing. Yeah, that's probably it. LOL Thank you also for all the giggles. Sorry to hear you're feeling so overwhelmed these days. :( Don't worry--May will be over in a few days (sigh!), and hopefully you can move on better. :) Something I might suggest for coloring frosting--especially if it needs to be a bold color--is Wilton icing dye gel. I got some when I made decorated iced cookie pops a few years ago. It is INTENSE! Way better than regular food coloring! It's a gel consistency, and a little goes a LOOOONG way, so a little jar lasts forever. Like I said, mine is a few years old, and still seems to be going strong, so I don't know that it spoils. Just watch out for dyed fingers, countertops, etc.--it will stain anything! I know JoAnn's & Hobby Lobby sell it, & probably Michael's as well. It is with the cake/cookie decorating stuff. Anyway, just something to consider the next time you make colored frosting. Thanks again, and have a wonderful week!

I have come to the conclusion that I have to get copics...I try so hard to follow your every move with your coloring and it just doesn't turn out...shading and blending i mean.I know how to color just not with the depth that you get...I have spectrum noir Markers and it just isn't cutting it...and well of course it's the markers fault not mine lol!!!

Having made many cakes, I will tell you it's impossible to make red frosting with the liquid food coloring drops. It's very difficult even if you buy the professional paste food coloring! My advice is buy red frosting readymade and save yourself the heartache 😉😂

Your card is awsome as always but i have to tell you that i work as a server for a restaurant called Friendly's. They specialize in ice cream (as well as burgers, chicken &such). Dont think they are in Ohio but seeing people come get ice cream late at night in their pj's & robes is not uncommon. I wouldn't have thought twice about that. Personally I'd be more like "Oh my God, one of my crafty idols is here. I need her autograph!!!"
