Fyi I lived in Michigan for 7 years (Kalamazoo) and a buddy took me fishing. Im from the south and I've caught all kinds of wild fish. So I caught a pike (didn't know they were a thing) I freaked out. I thought it was a mutated alligator without legs. Nearly had a heart attack. But its a hilarious moment my friend and I still laugh about to this day.

I’m way late to this videos party 😂 but I love CopperJohns Beard Co. First, Tyson the man, is a amazing human. His products just work in my beard, when u know, you know. His Gray line is Phenomenal. I have almost his entire line in oils and butters. I love fishing, have done it most of my life. My favorite fishing story isn’t about me. It’s about when my daughter was 6 I took her fishing and she loved it so much that she is now 23 and still fishes where she lives in Tampa. Teaching my daughter fishing was the best feeling

Yep, I've got a fishing story. As always Dan and Sam, fantastic and entertaining review. I can't stress enough how helpful your comment is! Now for my fishing story... I adore fishing, because I get to participate in nature and enjoy some of the most beautiful creatures that are hidden beneath ripples and waves. However, for years I wasn't able to hook anything save for weeds and logs. I honestly pondered if I would die without catching a fish. I even half joked myself that I'd try to catch my goldfish with a small hook if need be. I grew up in Ohio right next to the Little Miami River and cast out on summer days with not one bite. My dream as a kid was to hook a rainbow trout after reading a book on fishing techniques. Years past without a satisfying bite. Eventually my family moved South. In high school, I lived near Tampa, FL and thought I would be bound to catch something. Still no luck, although I did catch numerous fish while spear fishing. But my dream of reeling in a fish still hadn't come to reality. Eventually I moved to Sheridan, WY at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. On my 21st birthday I went to an alpine lake nestled in the pine laden mountains called Lake Sibley. I had a fun day but it was early evening and I still hadn't caught a trout while using a silver and red medium Jake's Lure. I prayed to God that He'd give me a birthday present by letting me finally catch a rainbow trout. On my next cast, I saw a spot in the lake and had a feeling in my gut there was a trout waiting for my lure. I saw my line sail out and deftly sink below the surface. Just then I felt a light jolt in my rod. "Could this be it," I thought. I began to reel in with some sporadic resistance and low and behold I saw medium sized rainbow trout emerge from the lake and flop by my feet. What a birthday present that was! Since then, I've consistently caught a variety of fish and honestly, each fish feels just a special and magnificent as the shimmering rainbow trout I hooked on my 21st birthday.

I love Tyson and CopperJohns so much. In last 34weeks I’ve got all 3 gray line combos, Backwood coffee, extra bottle of Skipper, Coming Home oil, and Last call combo along w/3 soaps his conditioning wash, T-shirt and just love the man as we text a few times a day now. Thank you Dan for introducing me to Tyson and CopperJohns as his gray line is great on my beard and his regular line is better in my beard than most other companies. I love copper Johns I have Rhumatoid Arthritis and get very bad dry skin under my beard and these products really help. Tyson is a really great guy as well. I also have that tester scent I won in a giveaway Tyson so genorously provided I love that scent as well one of my favorites now. I love fishing Dan I love going steelhead fishing as well I used go upstate NY.

Love fishing. Inland lakes in Wisconsin all the time. Used to ice fish but do not anymore. Have done some fishing in Texas in lake Tacoma that was a blast. Lake Michigan for coho salmon also is a great time!

I have a cool synchronicity story for this video. I found these beautiful fly fishing rods made here in Tennessee from a company called Moonshine Rod Company. When I saw the woodwork I instantly thought “man I wish these guys made smoking pipes”. I did some investigation and it turns out that the founder of the rod company made a company called Moonshine Pipe Company. I finally got my hands on a beautiful moonshine pipe today and tonight as I was smoking it for the first time this video popped up in my feed. I watched your review on my pipe’s maiden smoke. I live here at the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. I was raised fishing warm water bass since before I can remember. We have two fishing ponds on my family farm. I have yet to try fly fishing but is love too soon. Great video as always

Been eyeing Copper Johns from afar, thanks for your take on their products Dan! Was fishing with my dad a couple years back, we were on a small pond in a john boat.. he was fishing, i was mostly just rowing. I picked up a rod and cast, ended up throwing it over a tree branch that was hanging over the water.. Gave the rod to my dad for him to fix while I rowed us into a better position.. He catches a fish, with the line still over the tree branch, and when he reels it the fish just pops out of the water headed toward the branch. It was hilarious, he still counted it as his catch... SMH

Love Copper Johns. I’ll be honest. DG was my #1 company fir oils butters and conditioners. Once I learned about essential oils and grew to know my beard caster oil is what works best. I will always support all the companies I can each month but Copperjohns gray line has become my number 1 beard products company w/gray line. I have all 3 gray line combos and put Skippers on Subscription. I’d use CJ every day but I learned from you I don’t want beard Plato and use other companies like DG, bearded Mack CBC 2 times a week but CJ 5 days a week. I love Tyson I love CJ

I think this Company has a lot going for it, wonderful packaging; wonderful ingredients; great website and I love that they have the grey series fro the older brothers. So much potential here! And yet in the spirit of balance, the reviews you see on their website are only the positive ones. If you have any constructive suggestions or concerns, they do NOT post your review to the site. That kind of censorship does not lend to the kind of confidence that sustains success. I personally would like to see greater integrity there, but wish them all the best.

Yes, absolutely! Oil is supposed to absorb in. If after 30 minutes your beard is still greasy/oily, you used too much
