I'm sorry my friend but why on earth would the k value be of any interest here? Molarity is to do with number. It is 6x10 to the power of 23 atoms - that's it and that is a mole. Stick that number of atoms in a liter solvent and you get a molar solution. Half that number in a lire is half molar. Half that number in a half liter is a molar solution and so on. The problems arise because different atoms are different weights. But that's easy to understand 10 cars are heavier than 10 bicycles

No, I tried it lol. Then I realised it was a cold cathode light. So, thought it is bright it doesn't have nearly the same energy as xenon flash

I noticed a few posts from you that i seem not to be able to reply to - thankfully i can reply to this one - first point - don't shout please - caps is the text equivalent of shouting - PVP is polyvinylpyrrolidone at MW 100,000g/m. A polyol is a generic name for glycols - I use diethylene glycol but you can use other glycols. Red Copper oxide is best found from a pottery supply company as it is used in glazes

lol - it's by ratio of weight of monomer - otherwise you would be chucking tons in there - redo with monomer weight - aggregation - could be because of many things lack of process control but more likely from what you said about PVP ratios i guess insufficient PVP

Say I gave you a bag of apples and a scale and the weight of one apple and asked you to tell me the number of apples in the bag - I'm pretty sure you could do it. It would be the weight of the bag divided by the weight of the single apple. It's like that with atoms. Molar mass is just the weight of 6x10 to the power of 23 atoms of that particular substance (or molecules) so though it seems to be a mass it isn't really it has nothing to do with density - it is just a number - hope this helps

Great video. I watched but only understood some of the information. But I was able to follow the process quite easily. I am looking forward to you using it as an ink. Do you have printer that you can use for these experiments? Or are you gingerly using your main printer? Thanks as always for sharing.

Obviously copper acetate is one of the few copper salts that are water soluble, I'd recommend avoiding touching it with bare hands. In pigment / painting terms, it's also called verdigris

I just looked into it Li can be.. (LiCH2CH2CH2NMe2)4 *perfect* and without O2 around during reduction, it would make nice Li nanoparticles .. there was a paper and video I just remembered, showing a Li-ion microbattery being 3D printed in the US, University of llinois I think.. Wild, I think I understand how that could be built from scratch now :)) next one to figure out would be the new Li+/Sulphur/MWCNT types.

Could Fe-Co convert an alternating magnetic field's energy and send it through graphene like other systems? That could work quite well I think ..nano induction o.O

Do you know if you made Chevreul's salt instead? The complex has a similar appearance. ... the so4 got reduced to so3 instead of the copper to metal? How would one check in a kitchen lab?

Does the stirring magnetic field bear any influence on the reaction of the nano copper with regards to electrochemistry? I'm guessing that the insulating component would have some type of buffering effect which keeps the nanoparticles small as you have indicated earlier in this video. Could the magnetic stirring be reproduced without the magnetic field and produce the same results? Thank you for publishing this experiment. It has me wildly curious.

Hi Robert, I love your channel, its a really great contribution to science in my opinion. I'm wondering if you have any thoughts on electrochemical processes for the manufacture of nano Galfenol. I've looked at some ways but wonder if you have or know anyone with practical advice. Cheers.

Hi Robert, sorry i am not polymer chemist, still i have got problem in calculating the mass of pvp for a given cncentration, i tried my best to calculate the mass of PVP using monomer mass that is 0.08 X 112.9g/mol which is 9g of PVP for 100mL, i'm right? do we use this calculation for all PVP, i mean no mater which k-value we use

Hi Robert, Quite interesting presentation, I tried to reproduce the first paper and I have got aggregated particles, any idea? in addition I would like to know the mass calculation of PV with a given concentration, for a given concentration of 0.8M, with a PV 30,000g/mal, for a 100ml solution, i have got 2400g of PV which is unbelievable.

If you don't flash the solution, is the ink not conductive? If it's not this would be a cool way to make a PCB: spread the ink over an entire surface, for example over a piece of glass. Then transfer toner to the surface where the toner covers the areas you don't want to be conductive. Next flash the surface. The bare ink would become conductive and presto, your PCB is ready for use.

good idea - but this is what light forge are doing but with copper oxide instead of copper as xenon flashing reduces the oxide to copper and you don't have the same stability problems with copper oxide inks

Hi Robert, I am really interested in making this. However I was wondering if it was safe to put on skin? Also I wanted to know if you could create a circuit with your body with this substance. i.e. have a break in the circuit that you could put your hand over to close the circuit? Thanks!

I Believe PVP is an abbreviation of " Polyvinylpyrrolidone" if you search for this in Ebay you should get some meaningful results

How did the sintering go? Might look at using an electronic flash, which I've been seeing used with electroconductive ink, after watching your video

Sorry. Just changed settings and now I see the flash-sintering info. Planning to follow this setup, rinse the copper, and try water-soluble paste flux as the ink base, then flash it and see how it does, as well as sticking to the blank pc-board.

+muralidharreddy challa well there you go - you have your answer - though if it is dark blue sounds to me like your concentrations were way to high and i am guessing the reaction conditions weren''t particularly well controlled. Did you try copper (II) nitrate and ascorbic acid? copper (I) nitrate? - it might be the citric acid is just a stabilising agent and you might have to add an additional stronger reducing agent?
