Brian, Looking forward to the CSR AC4400CW. The C44-9W looks fantastic. Reminds me of Eric Broomans UTAH BELT C44-9W. We all have stuff in model railroading that we cry and bitch about. We're all human. Thanks for sharing your build and tips and tricks. Thanks for the video.

You are speaking for me in almost everything you say about your modelling ups and downs Mr Banna 🌝 I would consider using Panel liner tho’ to make all the lovely Kato details stand out 🤔I too feel total disappointment with even the best attempts at the idea of on board sound , if you want to hear a better sound experiment record the real sound on an i phone and stick it on the top of your chosen unit with a little blob of blue tack it sounds so much better and you get the whole sound even the the wheel squeal It even works for my Kato nscale locos - and the horn is always brilliant 😁It’s not just the speakers , it’s the amplifier and the real ambient sounds . As always much respect for your candid and honest opinions

That dash 9 looks absolutely gorgeous! A bit of weathering would make it look fantastic. As for the horn issue, trust me there is a prototype for everything. Living by CSX CHI-Nashville main I have heard a few calves being murdered. 😂😂 Looking forward to this project! I do own a Home Shops CSR covered hopper. 😉

This project looks very interesting. I am glad that you undertake a modern locomotive. Can't wait for the work to be done. Question: Why not having an even small layout like a small shelf job.
@6axlepwr2 жыл бұрын
That is being worked on. Not by me though. I will never build a layout. Just not in me. My friends took it upon themselves to build one for me. I warned them that I was not going to help. They are doing it anyway. If it happens great!. The track is down and the scenery is being worked on.

Ha! that is surprising due to your dexterity and look for details. OK, anyway, I still like your channel. I will never do what you do, but enjoy to watch how you do it, it give me ideas how to improve my self. I (because of you) work on a set of Gunderson well cars (The high ends form a very early design) to install high detail (metal) and brake line. That undertaking alone, is a bite of a challenge for me. I fond (actually they are sill in use) that the manufacturer produce several small variations, making it a bite difficult to find the right way to do it. How do you pick a specific detail?
@6axlepwr2 жыл бұрын
You mean a specific detail to add or not to add? That is all up to how you want to represent your model and what is important to you. What is the coolness factor for yourself and is it worth the effort.

@@6axlepwr OK, thanks a lot.

No problem. Really, it is all about what YOU want to see in the model. There was a time when I wanted to put every little detail I could possibly imagine into the model. Get the WOW factor out of it. It was fun at the time. Lots of great feedback to make my head swell. It is not so important anymore. I am not full of piss and vinegar as I was in my younger modeling years.

The ATSF -9s horns, that Leslie 3 come has always sounded like trash from the time they were brand new. So that's a basis

I've heard that you're going to have a layout. One of these days...

I think that is still a long, LONG way off.

Any SD45's on the roster?
@6axlepwr2 жыл бұрын
Yes, SD45 car bodies with rebuilt internals to SD40-2 specs. There are two ex MPEX ex ATSF and ex NREX ex BNSF ex ATSF.
