I really appreciate all your justifications for all of them, very in depth and I find myself in agreement with a lot of them, so since we're sharing, my favorites are; 1: Shade. Been maining it since I fell in love with it on release. I'd be parroting your points, but its unique mobility options are sooooo huge to just how comfortable this class is to play. Seeing you pick up this class has warmed my heart so much (and btw, didn't know about the AB reset, that is so cool I have to try that out, thank you) 2: Thunder Breaker. Flashy visuals, simply exhilarating to play, extremely fast without being convoluted like blaster. 2: Buccaneer. My first love! I um... have always been a fan of knuckle users in games if you could tell by this point. 4: Paladin. Hammers Hammers Hammers. Chill. Hammers 5: Hoyoung. One of my favorite stories in Maplestory, along with Shade. Such a charming character and a uniquely fun class to play.

Been playing since 05-06 and the idea of throwing ninja stars has always been amazing despite its popularity, no other MMO I can think of has a similar class. That being said, my favourite atm by far is Shadower. I love zipping and zooping around with the new remaster. 2-5 is Cannoneer, Adele, Blaze Wizard, & either Hoyoung or Kain

If we're ignoring balance/funding/etc., my 5 favorite classes to play are. 1. Thunder Breaker : The super fast and smooth linking of basically every skill with their dash skills makes their mobility so good. It just feels really good to zoom across the map with relatively little thought for cooldowns/specific buttons like hayato has to do (thought hayato gets even faster dashing as a result...). 2. Beast Tamer : This class just has a mode for everyone basically, whether it's the lazy farming of hawk mode, the active mobility and good damage of leopard, the fart mapping of bear, or the different bossing that all three offer. And even has a pretty beefy support class with cat mode wrapped in. 3. Kinesis : I'm a sucker for a mage that can flash jump and use their skills mid-air as well as the train, the black hole, the whole aesthetic. 4. Shadower: I love the meso explosion skill, and the rest of their skills have good hitboxes and are a lot of fun to use. 5. Illium: You can fly, you have summons that you barely have to worry about, you have a cool orb, you have a mode where you just fly over the map dropping light nukes on the monsters. Very cool class.

My list may be ask basic as they come. In no particular order, my top 5 are: -Ark (my current main and first level 250) -Night Lord (first main in pre-big bang MS) -Buccaneer (bossing mule in progress) -Adele (haven’t been playing though) -Hero (especially after revamp with better mobbing) Now, if I included watching pro players making the classes look good, I’d say I love Mercedes, Cadena, and Blaster.

my top 3 are 1. Shade, on its first iterations it was actually important to animation cancel spirit claw with either of your teleports, while also being useful with bind and split! (a rare thing back then) 2. TB, very flashy 3. Mechanic, i just like the theme i h avent played the rest of the classes beyond just making it a link char to rank them, but my heart goes to shade, i also love the story, it hits very hard.

Top 3 Favorite. 1. Hero 2. Buccaneer 3. Wind Archer Top 3 Hated. 1. Mercedes. 2. Beast Tamer. 3. Evan. I basically gave up on MapleStory after burning a Mercedes, Beast Tamer and Evan. Yes, they provide an amazing Link Skill and an amazing Legion statistics but are so dull and low damage that the grind was too painful. After a year I returned to MapleStory and decided my luck with a Warrior/Hero and Pirate/Buccaneer. That was a whole new world opening up for me and MapleStory was fun all of a sudden! I still have to start a Demon Slayer but thanks to you I am looking forward to it.

i know it's the most basic answer of all time, but I just adore my adele. pretty aesthetics, all the utilities i require and fitting perfectly with my playstyle. Other classes I've been having a great time with are Night Walker, Buccanneer, Hero and Hoyoung. Haven't leveled up my pally high enough, but I think I'll adore them too!

1. Mercedes, aesthetically pleasing and mechanically challenging make her super fun to play. I can't wait for her remaster to make her skill even flashier. 2. Kain, like Mercedes but edgy, he has a lot of cooldown and skills to manage as well as gimmicks. A generally fun class to play with a lot of thinking when bossing and mobbing. 3. Shadower, og character since prebigbang, not much to say 4. Zero, absolutely unique of a class from storyline to gimmicks. They are fun to play and just fooling around in general is enjoyable. Not sure about bossing though. 5. Idk, prolly pathfinder?

Wind Archer was my first 120 and favorite class. Grinded for about a week 4-5 hours a day at Harps just to get the items to make a UA. The Cygnus revamps ruined it for me, no elemental spirits, no eagle eye (transformed into a diff character to use certain skills). Was surprised how much I loved Paladins when I made one, made almost every class to 4th job and Paladin was one of my last, became one of my favorites. Corsair is my #1 though, loved Eight-Legged Easton, the old Octo-Cannon, and the old crew summons.

The new buffs to it is what made me decide to make I/L my main after moving over to EU Reboot, and I haven't regretted it even after making it to 225 and the prison of Arcana :3 But I do still love AB and am making her a bossing mule even though she's probably not the best suited for it rofl.

Current top five are 1. Blaster: My current main, the sound design of the moves is spectacular, {Looking at you bullet blast} the class feels great to play, and despite taking a lot of work to master whipping out full speed combos and dodges feels incredibly fun, despite the finger pain that training combos for too long gives. The aesthetics of the class are good too, its basically bringing a gun to a fistfight and I'm down for that. Furthermore weapon names are all great, for example Von leons ymir, absolab pile god, etc. 2: Paladin: I love paladins in any form of media, am a sucker for knight type classes, plus being immortal is fun. 3. Dark Knight: Dark night is exceptionally fun to mob with post destiny, plus I am a sucker for polearms/spears, one of the coolest weapons out there. 4: Kinesis: Am a fan of the aesthetic, the music, and the move set. Despite not being much of a mage enjoyer telekinesis is a fun concept for a power, whipping around trains, mobs, and cargo containers is far more satisfying than it has any right to be. 5. Dawn warrior: Despite getting cucked by ping every passing minute, the class is fun to play with its high speed boss combo, the feel and sound of when the ping buggers off and the combo starts ripping on through is very satisfying.

My top 5 classes of each segment would be. 1.Shadower ( everytime I start over in ms I start with shadower, there's something about this class that I just love) 2.Wind archer ( Wich might change to Pathfinder, they both are tied in my archer main... But since i really disliked what they did with the skills in the next Cygnus update... Yeah, may be a gb Wind archer) 3. Paladin ( always loved pally) 4. Ark ( loved the mechanics the visual the everything) 5. Battlemage Tried to include one of each segment, but I really love every class in ms... I'd love to hear your LEAST favorite classes, and why. I almost quit from burnout about a week ago. I was so focused onmy main's progression and I felt crushed by the dailies I 'had' to do. Then I reached a point in Starlight Chariot where I was no longer interest in the rest of the rewards, popped a few pieces of gear to leg pot, and decided to start working on legion. It's amazing how horrible Maple Story can be when you let it crush you, and how fun it can be when you don't.

My top 5 favorite classes are: #1. Kanna. It hated Kanna until their revamp. Their teleport was slow and their play style was lackluster. However, post revamp Kanna is incredibly fun. I love shikigami / tengu weaving for maximum damage output. I even love micromanaging all their skills. And since I started playing Kanna, no other mage teleport is better (in my personal opinion.) #2. Wind Archer. This class will always be in my top 5. The aesthetic of the class plus I genuinely think it's super fun to play. I wish Nexon would let them live up to their potential! #3. Ice/Lightning. First class I ever got to 250 (before the level cap was raised, so it was a big deal at the time!) Great mobbing and decent bossing if you put in the effort. I just think it's a totally balanced class. #4. Bowmaster. Not in a lot of people's top 5 list but I think there is something so thrilling about their attack speed and play style. Truly a satisfying class to play. Mobbing isn't great but it's definitely balanced by great bossing and I absolutely love the rework! It's nice that arrow stream actually has a bigger hit box and no longer feels clunky. #5. Night Walker/Angelic Buster. Okay, so I realize I'm cheating but who cares. I love both of these classes for complete opposite reasons. I love the dark spooky aesthetic of NW and in contrast I love the cute aesthetic of AB. They're both great for different reasons. NW has truly great bossing and it's so much fun watching bats fly around. Whereas AB is great at mobbing and it's so satisfying watching purple balls fly around. What one class lacks in the other makes up for. Honorable mention: Luminous. Because it was my forever main before I/L and Kanna so it needs a little love.

I like : 5- mechanist/corsair - like the gameplay style of summons, just wished it could be done with less gear, have a better levelling and having more active summons. 4 - Hero - my first main, really made me feel like one, it was so much tankier and damagier than everything else that i just came to love it. 3 - Adele - strong as shit, nice lightshow, kinda boring after a while 2 - Angelic buster - Not the best class, but it really made me read the whole story, and boy, it is fun. Also liked the policure motiff 1- Paladin - a even tankier hero, with more chamative skills that i can use for memeing about the holy smite. Unplayed but think i'll like 1- beast tamer - never could create one when it was open. 2- cadena - i love spiderman/cratos motiff 3- ark - punching seems fun (tried blaster, found it kinda frustrating and bucanneer goes way off the pirate motiff that i think it clashes in a bad way, placing a sayan everywhere doesnt make everything greater).

1. Dark Knight: balance mobbing and bossing, never dies, and just the name "Dark Knight" already sounds cooler than anything lol 2. Mechanic: who doesn't want to ride a giant robot? 3. Hero: the best bossing mule, a level 200 hero with literally nothing can solo easy Cygnus. 4. Paladin: I don't know, I simply like explorer and warrior, if Nexon ever release a new explorer warrior I will probably like it too. 5. Demon slayer: cool and strong.

I love classes that are extremely mobile and have a little bit of complexity to their playstyle. 1. Mercedes - the movement feels really good once you learn it and allows her to dodge so much stuff. Plus she has a hurricane skill which lets you play braindead when you're tired and adapt to situations where comboing would put you in a bad spot. 2. Illium - being able to fly for your double jump gives you incredibly versitile mobility. Their wings of glory skill feels like amazing as you become an angel of death; the music changes and you can fly at mach speeds raining spears and Kamehamehas. Their ball gimmick is reallly fun since you're micromanaging its placement, but you can freely change the positioning so it feels like a partner you're commanding. 3. Battlemage - their mobility is insane and switching between auras during boss fights is fun and gives you some level of descion making. Their training also goes from intense button mashing to a 40 sec break period of letting your summons do all the work, which is nice for long sessions. 4. Zero - They have so many tools to survive, two health bars and healing, tons of s, tons of binds, and an infinite upward teleporting. Their training can be braindead and sitting in a spot letting your DoT and tornados kill everything, or actively comboing if you need some stimulation. Their weapon is really nice as you only need starforce and pot it once and you never have to bother with it again. It's also the only class that uses the lucky cra hats instead of fafnir which is a nice change of pace gear wise. 5. Cadena - you feel like spiderman since she's swinging from platform to platform. Her combos and movement can feel very feral and unhinged once you get them down. Unfortunately, timing her combos is too much for me.

You'll love TB! God of mobility that has an animation canceling dash (Like shade) a teleport and the ability to endlessly fly by chaining 3 skills together (Very hard to do but a life saver on bosses like darknell or gloom).

I'm new, but among the classes I've tried so far: 1. Bucc - my main, feels so good zooming through the map with insane mobility and the following aoe skill. 2. Beast tamer - leopard form, similar to what i like about bucc, but feels different. 3. Mercedes - good aoes and combos. The rest I didn't really like (blaster, corsair, aran, evan, battle mage, mechanic)

Here is my top 5; 1.Mihile . One of the class i have the more fun on , i mean, what boss mechanic right ? 2. Cannon Master. Aesthetics is good, movements is really good, tons of lines , voice lines are amazing , good bossing/insane mobbing plus you get to have a monkey ;) 3. Aran. So much fun doing combos, sadly i cant play it more than 1hr straight 4. Marksman is simply too good after revamp. 5.Shadower. this one was harder to pick, but i kind of liked the rework

I have to decide right now between burning a Hero or a Paladin to 220. I'm really torn though. I love the idea of being able to survive everything as a Paladin, but also want to be able to do immense amounts of damage without much funding. Any thoughts?

You should check out dk which is kinda broken rn Id choose pally as the gap between hero and pally is not as it used to be and mobbing much better and survivability ofc Dk is just the full package

As someone who plays Maple M and not the PC version, my list is going to be preeeetty weird compared to other peoples's XD (not to mention the fact that getting a character to 200 on Maple M is a absolute nightmare that i have not acheived yet so this is going off purely 4th job skills) 1) Luminous Lumi main since he released in M. One giant timeframe of only taking 1 damage no matter what attacks are thrown at you and dealing ridiculous damage back >:D Equilibrium is cracked for bossing, lumi is ridiculously tanky because of it compared to my other characters- his hyper skill at 150 makes things even better since you can just essentially toggle between one mode and equilibirum, using the hyper skill right after equilibrum ends to completely skip the other mode. Also the 1 damage mechanic works against damage reflection too so no need to fear bosses that pull that out. Mobbing is insane thanks to reflection, no need to explain there. I main lumi for the light/dark asthetic too :) he's got some pretty skills. He's also not boring- some classes spam one skill all day every day and while lumi does spam one skill at a time, he ses different ones depending on the mode you're in and what you are doing. 2) Pathfinder Pretty skills? Check. Good AoE? Check. Easy to use? Check. Not boring? Check. Ridiculous amounts of damage? Check. Pathfinder is good stuff. 3) Bishop Looking forward to when the explorer revamp hits Maple M, because when it does... whooooo boy. Bishop's supportive role is unique and I love it. 4) Dawn Warrior My Dawn Warrior isn't very strong yet, but I love their main attacking skill in 4th job. Very spammy, very fun. 5) Kinesis He's new in M, but god. This guy is hilarious and the very definition of his kit is just: Pick up mob, SMASHY SMASH YEET TRAINS PEW PEW Only wish he wasn't so reliant on one of his buffs that gives atk spd....

Thoughts on returning player having not played since like 05? My buddy plays on reboot and there's hyper burn atm... I made a hero to 200 from his recommendations but I'm not sure about jt.. I played bishop and thief before the million classes came out

If I remember correctly, it's called Mercedes Damage Skin. Sometimes they are in the boxes of Damage skins in the event stores

I just got back into the game and I am in need of help I made a character to 200 on burning world not knowing you can't transfer to reboot Then I made a character on reboot and claimed the burninator item in star menu (once per account) and leveled it to 103, but then I stopped playing Now it's 6 weeks later and I want to play again but i noticed the tera burning is gone. Someone on reddit told me to delete my 200 on burning world, and make a new tera burning on burning world to 200, then I am able to get a new burninator coupon on my reboot character Is this true? I don't want to waste my time leveling to 200 on burning world if I can't get a new coupon on reboot world. Help please :( Thanks!

haven't played enough classes to 200 to get 5 a top 5 even though I have more than 5 over 200 I don't like a lot of them they're there for links and legion.... 1. currently is buccaneer 2.beast tamer 3.pathfinder I would probably place both demons somewhere in there or luminous but currently haven't played enough of them to warrant adding them to a favorite list.

i dont think I have enough playtime for top 5, but as ive been leveling legion and for fun characters over the years ive liked demon avenger and the new marksman the best. I think ill like paladin alot bc ive always liked them in other games. i know demon avenger is bad, but it just clicks for me

My top 5: 1. Dual Blade- always my number 1 since i started i love the story the moves and having 2 blades 2. Adele- also very cool story but on the grandis side, tons of flying swords and reminds me of my league main irelia 3. Kain- so many cool moves with a cool dark red theme and the possess/execute is fun to manage 4. Kinesis- love the music story managing pp and just being an earthy mage and throwing stuff around 5. Hoyoung- I love the cheeky attitude he has in story and managing the gauge is super cool

1.Hayato I can never say no to a man with a katana alway a cool weapon 2. Ark has transformation like old buccaneer why would I not love it 3. Marksman revamp made me do a 180 for this class never love archer class till him 4. Blaster he has a gun arm fix him nexon I don't wanna break my keyboard everything time i do my bossing 5.demon avenger I know he in a weird spot but seeing how well his counter part is nexon just fix him so he doesn't just get over shadow by him
