part of me agrees but it is tricky... see these judges see how many cases a day... a week... a month... every judge would be stripped naked by such legal claims even if only 1-3% of the guys the decided to grant parole do bad stuff after being released... same as judges where 60-80% of parolees do bad stuff the day after he got out of jail but yeah we got to do something about this problem: one Idea: felon got 5 years for his crime (not the 8 year maximum possible) wants to get a parol after 2 years... okay granted you are on probation for 6 years (5 year minus 2 years served is 3 years rest times two)... now he does something bad during probation means now you go back to jail for 7 years for that alone... (probation violation ups the first sentence to 8 year maximum minus 2 years served would be 6 years to go but add 1 year just for the probation violation) and remove the option to sentence to anything less than the maximum possible for whatever he had done during probation... i do think a bunch of guys would opt to rather serve their full sentence than to go for this kind of probation

We need legal recourse to sue the city, DA's office, and State itself for repeat offenders continuing to be released. Maybe if we can keep Judges barred from accessing Golden Parachutes if their judgment is impaired enough to let guys like this out of their cage, more Judges would be willing to do what's right instead of what is easy. The Seattle PD unfortunately doesn't fight for anything except their own bonuses. There are hundreds of documented cases of cops taking their sweet time investigating crimes and abusing their power. Their average response time is egregiously long. And they tend to only respond to active threats like shootings. On patrol they spend their days harassing people following the law or committing very petty crimes like jaywalking or simply sitting on the sidewalk minding their business. They barely fight crime and certainly don't care about fighting the system. It's messed up all around.

I'm one of a few managers of a higher end hotel here in Maine(one of the big luxury chains)and since this last governor took over she started to use state money to put mentally ill, supposed immigrants and illegal aliens into hotels that have a kitchen like ones like ours that all have suites and they also made it so you never know who is coming like they hide it's a homeless/mentally ill person, person let out of prison recently, illegal alien or "asylum seeker" until we figure it out ourselves after they get in. Since we do online keys though your cell the state does it that way so they don't have to come check in and skip the policy we have to only rent to someone with a credit/debit card for incidentals like out shop or if they smoke or destroy the room(like no joke almost all of them do). We've had machete wielding illegals(nobody hurt), homeless creeps trying to get into rooms or answering their door naked when housekeeping comes, shit ALL OVER the rooms, one couple tried to kidnap a kid but we foiled it because they were obvious, and the last crazy incident was a guy said he had bugs in his room so I sent ppl to check it out and when they went to the room the guy had toilet paper in EVERY crack in the whole suite. Like hundreds of bits of paper. And then they didn't see any sign of bugs and he says "yea but what about the bugs in my head"...The guy was nuts. And there's not much we can do to stop it, sadly. Not until our state government changes. Those pesky Democrats have gone Leftist slowly here over time. So many of them want us to be Cali like it's something to strive for.

What if you shut down the kitchen? Does that block the state from doing this nonsense? Cause the Dems in charge certainly dont care that you're having to deal with these people. It's not their problem. They dont work with the peasant class.

I live in Seattle; you are correct. We've had a number of totally random attacks in the last few years. Notable ones I remember are a guy in broad daylight who walked up and sucker punched a random woman who was waiting to cross the street, causing her to be knocked out, fall on her face, and break her nose (the attacker then just moseyed away down the street); and a guy who walked up to a random car that was waiting at a red light, started arguing with the occupants, then started shooting. Killed one of them, injured the other. Someone I know also had his motorcycle stolen by someone who had been arrested something like 47 times.

@@Daltonisntabot TRUTH....here in Michiganistan the communist Governor has her lips firmly wrapped around the ccp dong along with her equally worthless alcoholic AG who both HATE Cops. There's a few that are being hung out to dry on the alter of wokeness!! One State Cop dared to kill a bad guy that was an illegal with an extensive criminal record who chose to fight when pulled over with no plates or insurance and it cost him his life, the other hit a POS bad guy running away with his Police SUV. I stayed at an Extended Stay hotel for bit and all but the door to the lobby was to remain closed and locked. I lost count of how many times I’d see one propped open because some lazy asshat would go outside to smoke and not bring the keycard. Then to top it off a guest with a sword went around threatening people. The cops included tribal police used tear gas to get him to come out. I was away for this but told the desk that if I’m there and some deranged person causes chaos I’m gonna handle it!

I know the feeling. Prosecutors in my area are praying for 20 years or more for the person who killed my brother in cold blood after my brother stepped in and stopped Isiah Rodrigues from mugging a lady because they are not positive they can continue with 2nd degree murder, charges. Instead they are having to lower it to 1st degree murder to get the most time in prison pressed against him. I live in eastern Washington State.
@sofpsocfАй бұрын
Sorry for your loss man and I hope you get justice for your brother
@spub1031Ай бұрын
1st degree murder is NOT lower. Think about it like sports where D1 athletes are in a higher tier than D2.
@sofpsocfАй бұрын
@@spub1031 i was also confused about that part but regardless he should be put away. Plus 1st degree requires some form of premeditation no?
@spub1031Ай бұрын
@sofpsocf not always, say you stab a guy who was helping your spouse cheat on you. That would be second-degree. However, if you then stab him 46 consecutive times after words, then that could be deemed as first degree since it's obviously not a heat of the moment thing anymore.
@mahrixgamer6036Ай бұрын
That is not a downgrade. 1st degree murder is the grand daddy of felonies. In fact it's one of the very few felonies that will likely put you away for life without parole and the only one that makes you eligible for the death penalty in states that have it.
