G Kue; You are so right that genuine people do not grow on trees. I been riding solo my entire life due to the fact I have yet to find riders I trust. People I thought I could trust turned out to be users and could care less about my wellbeing. There are days I think it would be nice to have others to ride with but at the same time I have no one to look out for but me when I ride alone. My daughter and her husband ride and I have never gotten to ride with them as they both operate heavy equipment for a living and rarely get a couple day off during the summer and when they do it seems like it falls at a time we are not able to hookup and ride. I envy you man. I am 56 years old and been holding out hope that I might still find a true friend or two.

Just keep riding. I too at one point felt the exact same way...i was only around because i was a benefit to them..I realized that I was the one maintaining the friendship and eventually it drained me. Its ok to ride alone but dont get a mindset of loneliness. They will come. Just keep at it. BE SAFE! and make sure you hit that like button for me!

Shifters of all brands tend to wear out eventually. Once it starts to wiggle a little, the wear on the splines accelerates, so best to take care of it before complete failure.

G Kue: I have something special for you to ride, come summer of 2025. Ride to Grand Junction CO. Your starting point of the loop will be south of GJ on US-50 and CO 141 from Whitewater CO, through Gateway and Uravan, to meet US 491 at Dove Creek. Head south to Cortez CO, then east on US 160 to Durango. Then take US 550 north through Silverton, over Red Mountain Pass and the Million Dollar Highway, down through Ouray and up to Montrose CO, where you'll meet up with US 50 again. It's one of the most scenic loops in the state, and the difference in scenery (desert canyons and mining towns, to high mountain passes and cliff shelf roads) will blow your mind.
