Loved the “that’s not an outfit, she’s just skinny” comment! I know exactly what you mean. Just because you like an outfit/image on Pinterest doesn’t mean it will translate to something you can copy. It could be that the person has a different body type/colouring/style or it could just be that the picture is really well shot and so looks appealing. I know I need to curate my Pinterest pins better to actually be something that relates to my style/colours/aesthetic rather than something I just wish I could wear. 😀

Hi :) I've heard how you sometimes said: it's not an outfit. She's just skinny. It seemed like you were frustrated that you did not get a similar wibe I guess. I think it's very easy to love a vibe of a photo or the person in the photo. When I look at outfit inspirations I try to imagine how the clothes would look if the person is just standing normal or walking. And what I often realize is that I like the photo, the pose, the vibe, how the clothes and the pose create a fantasy. But when I imagine the clothes out of the location, on me and my moving body I lose interest. What I'm trying to say: sometimes we love the photo and the fantasy a lot more than the clothes itself and I am a LOT less frustrated since I ask the question: do I like the photo, or the outfit? I hope you are able to understand what I mean 😅

I totally get what you mean! That comment isn't meant to disparage those particular outfits or even how I look in them; it's more so a tongue-in-cheek saying meant to point out that sometimes what is considered "fashionable" is only considered so because it's presented on a conventionally attractive or slim body, but if worn by someone larger or without perfect lighting/posing/etc it's just basic clothes. So I guess I'm just pointing out that I was fooled by the Pinterest aesthetic haha!

4:25 I think you're right that it would have worked better with a flowy dress, but in my opinion the existing outfit you did would look better if it didn't have the belt, since the dress is already tight at the waist it looks a bit unnecessary to me.

I think they’re some off-brand? Something like “Bette and Court” I got them off thredup. But honestly they feel super cheap, I’d not recommend them 😂

Mostly thrift stores, and sometimes online with Thredup. But I know they don't ship outside US and Canada, so if you don't live there, try Depop or Ebay :)

The ones that you think are not an outfit they're just skinny, I think you're wearing the wrong size. Especially the white shirt should be a size up, and the dress should be a little bit bigger but Tailored to fit you
