It’s been a little over a year since I started exploring the Kibbe Image ID body typing system, and I think I can finally say I’m at the end of that journey. My original plan was to make a video about “finally finding my Kibbe ID” by trying on various outfits within the line recommendations for several different types, but that plan was quickly abandoned when I joined the r/Kibbe subreddit and found new information (and a big thank you to the lovely folks on Reddit who responded to my post!). I am not a part of the “Strictly Kibbe” Facebook group, nor do I intend to be; I feel like I’ve learned as much as will be helpful to me at this point in my life, and I’m content to leave it there, so I just wanted to share my thoughts. I really thought this video would be under 10 minutes, but uh... I guess I had a lot of thoughts lol. Be nice, and don’t take this topic too seriously, k?
1. A Brief Timeline: 1:23
2. Trying to ID with Outfits (what this video was originally going to be): 3:19
3. Joining r/Kibbe: 8:43
4. Why I’m Done: 10:00
5. What I’ve learned: 11:45

My name is Melody; amateur seamstress, eternal theatre kid, and overall jack-of-all-trades. I love being able to take something old (whether I already own it or found it at the thrift store) and turn it into something new; you’ll find a lot of thrift-flips, mending, alterations, and other creative projects here! Living frugally and being intentional with my belongings is also very important to me; I enjoy clothes but strive to shop second-hand as much as possible and use what I already own. I hope I can encourage others to also become Outfit Repeaters with this channel.
Formerly an over-achiever with a BA in Clinical Psychology, I now reside in the woods in a tiny apartment with my wonderful husband and pet tarantula. Life is weird but generally pretty good.
I hope you’ll stick around!
Filmed on my iPhone 7, edited with iMovie. I’m not fancy.
