Coral Cone Cup Review | The "Zip-Tie" Stem Cup

This cup traveled a long way for me to review it, thanks again to Jaime, one of our amazing Period Nirvana Community admins, for sending this to me in the US. The Coral Cone cup review took a little time to finally put together and edit. I'm behind on long videos and EVERYTHING (thanks summer)- but even if you can't get your hands on one hopefully it was a fun look at a new cup design. Let me know what you think of this one! I don't even like or use cups (I'm a disc gal), but I still watch all of your reviews because I just find you delightful lol. I just bought a Hello disc actually (from your store) and I'm hoping it fits when it comes because the Nixit is too big for me, won't tuck at all. I use the Lumma medium currently. I have my fingers crossed, so excited and nervous.

Can you swim with a disc? I have always been confused because they don’t suction like a menstrual cup does. Is swimming with a disc as secure as swimming with a cup?

Have you ever thought of getting a colaborator with a high cervix who can review ultra high cervix products for you? Your reviews work pretty well for me, since I have a variable cervix height, starting with a low cervix that gets higher towards the end of my period, but I feel like that would be helpful for viewers with a higher cervix.

Hi Kim, just wanted to thank you for the work that you do. I first tried a cup over 10 years ago, I tried it for a couple of cycles and it was horrific. I decided to try a cup again at the start of this year and did a lot of research (after I purchased the cup, I'm a silly woman haha). Thanks to your videos, I am now a cup convert! It is so much easier and cheaper (no pulling out dry tampons anymore!). Thank you so much. I got lucky that the Lunette works for me (only chose Lunette as they have a money back guarantee!) X

I’ve been trying the Libby Cup here in the UK. I got the C size as I have a low cervix nowadays. Had to trim the stem by about half & now it’s the best length cup I’ve tried. I don’t feel the stem at all. It’s VERY soft, I’d say a 1 on your scale. Takes a learning curve to get it to open, but so far, so good. The stem length on this coral cup would be waaaaay too long for me but I get that some people have a more mobile cervix than I do. I’m with you on the cleaning. I stopped using the Lily One Cup as it was super hard to clean the bit that concertinas to collapse it.

I do wish you were able to ship up to Canada I understand that it’s not possible at the moment but I was really looking forward to getting a Hello disc as my first disc. Luckily your site is lovely and gave me good resources and I’ve chosen a nixit instead. Here’s hoping my high cervix an work with it haha

Right I wanted stuff off her site so bad dang canada lol I have the nixit disc wash and saalt cups duo regular and small then 3 other small disc coming should be here Aug 22 then next month getting the period cup steamer thing so I keep my stuff in.the best shape and heard horror stores about boiling so I don't go more then 3 4 mintues top but watch it like a hwak and will be putting.my disc in a wisk lol as iv seen

oh man, i wish they'd release a disc! i have a super high cervix and the lumma L is perfect for me..BUT the string flimsiness definitely makes me nervous, AND i have low cervix days where removing the string would be amazing. i can't use cup as i'm too sensitive for the suction. will be looking out for further news from this company, new zealand generally has great quality control for its products 👍✨ (from an australian with nz family)

Nice idea for a cup! I'm thinking that, when you're pulling the stem, it's because you're removing the cup, so it doesn't really matter if it lenghtens and "comes undone"

some people use the stem to check if there is suction after inserting, so that would make a difference for those people

My cervix sits high on the 2nd half of my period. With cups, I just bare down to get it out. Even with the Diva cup or "high cervix" cups, I bare down. Now, I use the Lumma disc.

i think the divot is to make the fold more narrow at the tip

They call it a pour spout and as far as I can tell that divot doesn’t have that affect. The rim is actually flat which makes the tip less narrow that rounder rims

Have you reviewed any cups/ discs from India? I have been using a cup currently but I would really like to switch. Problem is I am not entirely sure of all the choices we have. And if you have reviewed one that would be great cuz you have such an amazing experience reviewing cups and discs

Not a single disc with loop or string is available in india. And most cup brands which i want to try prices are too high man that sucks!

@@foolish9463 I have been using pee safe for 2 years now, haven't had any issues. But currently I got a cup from Germany and i use that once in a while, but peesafe is still good. You can start there if you wish to.

No. Pixie is a brand and company I don't support. Their cup is a white label product and they have placed bible verses inside of their cups, something a lot of buyers weren't aware of until receiving the product. Their cup has changed over the years to be several designs, all versions are available via Alibaba

just googled this one, I'd say 99% sure the disc is a private label model. 100% sure the cup is. Looks like they got a custom color and box made for the models available via Alibaba. womp womp.

How are you able to figure out if your cervix is high or low??

Well, first you have to stick a finger inside and locate your cervix. It feels like the tip of your nose. If you manage to touch it with only your first nuckle , the you have a low cervix. If you have your finger all the way till your last nuckle, then you have a higher cervix. Also, the hight of the cervix can shift during the cycle. There is a video as well on Period Nirvana Channel

The previous person said something similar to what I'm about to say, but I have some things to add. **make sure you measure on your period because the cervix will lower on your period** 1. You will need to stick a finger up there. It will pretty much be the only thing in there provided you don't have a tampon or anything inside. Some say it feels like the tip of a nose, but mine doesn't, so it's different for everyone. If you touch something and think it might be your cervix, it likely is. You will be able to feel a little dip or slit on it. If you can't reach your cervix, then you have a **high cervix** 2. Place your thumb against where the entrance is to mark the place on your finger. Using the knuckle trick can sometimes work, but fingers are different sizes, so it doesn't always work. I originally used the knuckle trick and though I had an average cervix, but I actually have a low cervix. 3. Take out your finger, rinse if you want, then measure from your placeholder (your thumb) to the tip of your finger. A **low cervix** is around 44mm or lower (1.4") from the opening to the tip of the cervix An **average cervix** is around 45mm (1.8″) to 55 mm (2.25″) A **high cervix** 55mm (2.25″) or higher I hope this helps!
