4:26 The box just says сыр (sir), which means cheese in Russian and a multitude of other Slavic languages. Maybe this is where the delivery people are expected to drop off the cheese, but never do because they don't understand what's written on the box. Coraline herself didn't even seem to notice it since it's just kind of tucked in the corner.

I feel as if Mr. B's mice are like The Cat, in which they are intelligent and can speak (or at least communicate in some way in the real world). I never noticed his bloodshot eyes! 😮 Great attention to detail! Also, I think the reason we don't see the mice is because... well, they're mice. They're able to be sneaky and keep hidden, especially in cluttered spaces.

I notice that the only people who call Coraline her actual *name* with any consistency are her parents, who wouldn't have any idea about the Beldam, and the mice, who (as stated) may be from Bobinsky's mentally scrambled brain. Since fae are known to be able to weild absolute power over mortals using their "true names," this may be the Pink Palace residents (who are already trapped) trying desperately to prevent the Beldam from taking complete power over yet *another* victim.

Wait a second, on Mr AB’s shelf of nick nacks, there’s a photo and it looks like The Other Mother! It looks like her when she’s still disguised as Mel but is wearing the pokadotted dress later in the movie. This could be a subtle nod that Coraline’s in the Limbo Pink Palace or that Mr B knows/knew the Beldam

It really does seem like when they split the building into apartments they just went: the actic can be 1, the ground floor and 1st floor can be 2 and the basment can be 3. Not considering the amount of sapce that would give each one. Mr. B really got the short strae here and I agree about his stairs not being safe. At least put some support beams under them.

Yknow, I always kinda thought the real Mr. Bobinski never had mice. Cause we only see the mice that come from the Other World. We never really see what the mice would look like in the real world. But yknow, everything about Mr. Bobinski is strange, so I can only speculate.

It's so bizare to me that his eyes are bloodshot and he's talking about training these mice and ordering this cheese for them - but there's nowhere they could be hiding in that tiny apartment! I mean... he has a cage on the floor, but it's a bigger cage for like a cat and mice would slip right between those bars. I definitely don't think Mr. B. has a grip on reality anymore.

I agree. And about that cage. It is most likely for the chicken that is just chilling in his apartment. I mean, unless he just lets the chicken roam his apartment all day, I cant think of what else that could be used for.

@@TheFangirlWatches We don`t have second names in Russia, we have отчество - patronymic what can translate as "father name" or "father-relation name", his name has to be Сергей Александрович Бобинский (Sergey Aleksandrovich Bobinsky) wich means that his father's name is Alexander

3:12 the red package is from switzerland- the word geneva (a swiss city) can be seen in the return address as well as “helvetia” being one of the stamps (helvetia is an allegory for switzerland) which also has a mountain symbol, probably representing the swiss alps. that also fits with one of the stamps being “italia” which means italy, one of switzerland’s border countries

The mice are very mysterious, they know about the little door, and they get Coraline´s name right, even though Mister B doesen't, so they must be real (at least to some extent), and they're probably not regular mice. Also, from outside, the attic looks to be much bigger than what we see of Bobinski's apartment, so there's probably more space in his apartment that we just don't get to see from this angle, wich hopefully means this poor man does own a bed. In Mr. Bs apartment I wanna say that the ladder leads to his bed The mice probably roam free be he didn’t seem surprised that they had more information than Coraline by warning her about the door. And it would make since that we didn’t see them when we got a glimpse into his apartment before the door had just burst open and I’m sure that startled them into hiding.

It is in a way, because we recall back to the live chicken, but the significance of a chicken still isn't there. If he had a horse or a dog in there, and that topped the popcorn machine, the movie and meanings would still play out the same way.

If coraline is still in the other world, perhaps Mr B is fulfilling his duty as one of the other mother's minions. He is preventing coraline from going through the little door so that she becomes trapped in that section of the other world , thinking she is safe from the danger Mr. b was talking about.

0 seconds ago Just recognized another tie in to your previous Coraline/Kubo theory concerning the Beldam. In Scene 1 of this series you were made aware of the vintage Japanese pin cushion. You made mention in the Coraline/Kubo video that the Beldam seems to be drawn to things from her old life as one of the Sisters without knowing why. You said she was likely suffering from amnesia much like the Moon King when cast down from the heavens. Thus the Beldam was drawn to tweens/night time/removing of eyes. Likewise, according to your thinking she may have been subconsciously drawn towards the Japanese pincushion rather than one more commonly used/found by those in Portland Oregon where Coraline takes place.

Maybe I'm reading too into it, maybe this is what I get for randomly looking up stuff because I'm bored. But, that chicken's a rooster; now, he could be using it to wake him up, crowing in the morning. OR! And I can't believe I'm making this connection: In the bible, Jesus said to Peter (I think it was peter?) "A rooster will not crow this morning until you have deny knowing me three times". Coraline defies the other mother three times and at the end of the movie we see a bright sunny day instead of the dreary weather that's been throughout this movie. Once when she denies the buttons, once when she says 'You are not my mother', and once when she not only tricked the beldam to win but also when she threw the key in the well that same night. Three times she defied the Beldam, and the next day was bright and sunny. Garden was blooming and what not.

cyanosis (lack of oxygen in the blood) causes skin to appear blue- maybe this is what is affecting bobinsky? it can be caused over time by long term heart or lung problems or it can occur from situational variables such as high altitude or intoxication/overdose

Beldam has locked Coraline away from her world and eats magic. What does Coraline eat? She's dying of exhaustion, and Beldam has eaten enough for years to come? Does Beldam cook food for her? Is Beldam casting a spell so she doesn't starve to death?

Ooooh thank you for all of that! I've had a lot of pet mice too, and they don't tend to squeak a lot, but they do make a lot of scurrying, running-on-the-wheel, eating noises. I actually have some mice that got into the walls of my house right now, and one of them is VERY vocal and screeches all the time! All that is to say, for the amount of mice in the circus, I'm shocked that we are hearing NOTHING that we could attribute to mice in the apartment.

What if the cheese is for the bedlam’s mice? Think about it coraline leaves cheese out as bait for the mice in the “real world” and they take it to the bedlam which she uses in her cooking. If your limbo pink palace theory is true and he knows he is trapped what if he has a friend or family member on the outside that knows about his situation and is sending the cheese to him from the real world! He could be using the cheese to try and get the mice on his side because he might believe that they are his best chance to escape. That could also explain his bloodshot eyes he could be not sleeping because he wants to always be aware of where the mice are and what they are saying especially if he is trying to have private conversations with them without letting the bedlam hear

Maybe his eyes are red cuz he is always awake because it’s always night in the other world and if he is stuck there look threw his eyes if the other mother is trying to make corline think she is in the real world then she would make it look normal for her but he can see threw the illusion because the other mother does not care what he sees but only what Corline sees so he can see it’s night but she only sees morning in the so called real world so mabye it’s always night in his eyes but he used to sleep so much cuz your supposed to sleep at night that at some point he was like I sleep way too much it always night so he stopped sleeping and in the other world you live no matter what there is proof of that cuz she sewed buttons into the other kids eyes and hers too and she is still alive and alive enough to still be able to capture all those kids and so you can still live after no sleep and feel just fine but in the real world you could die so maybe his fear of the beldam plus what I just explained is enough reasons for him to not sleep for long enough for him to get blood shot eyes. Dang that was the longest paragraph I’ve ever wrote I’m a big fan of your corline theory’s I’ve been a fan of a few months I don’t remember how many lol but I know it’s been months.😂❤
