I tried your recipe last year and my son LOVES this meal. I make it at least one a month. He requested this for his birthday dinner instead of going out to eat. I bought a special 5 quart pot to make this in and added way more than the recipe calls for because my 14 yr old son loves it so much. He had 4 plate fulls one time. Thank you!!

I love using shrimp broth. I take those shells from the shrimp and boil them in the chicken broth to infuse the flavor. Take the jambayla up a whole nother level.

Great video! I want to make this for a family cookout. Do you think that I could make everything but the rice the day before and add the cooked rice on the day of the cookout? My concern is the rice would not have had enough time to soak up the flavors. Thank you!
@thatdagwoman Жыл бұрын
Jambalaya is even better the next day because the rice absorbs all the flavors. Cook it just like this the day before and reheat in a tin pan with tin foil covering so it doesn’t dry out

Looking like home sweet home New Orleans 🤤fr. Loving the fact you actually used all three meats, but I swear i never use anything but Double D sausage and I keep seeing everyone use Andouille or Manda. I know Double D is mostly sold in New Orleans and surrounding areas, but if you can find it try it out in a seafood boil. Next time, use a big pot 🤣. You did great though, keep cooking with love.

I made this tonight and it was BOMB 💣🔥 It’s not terribly unhealthy, I used avocado oil & tried to keep the salt to a minimum. Couldn’t find Tony’s at my local grocery store so I ordered it on Amazon. I almost made it without the Tony’s but I’m SO glad I didn’t. Y’all need to make this!
@Bestmepossible Жыл бұрын
I don't know if I got a bad batch but Tony's is soooo salty to me. The container I have I can literally only use about a half teaspoon in the dish he's making before it would be overly salted. Is it just my container? Like it just tastes like table salt and cayenne to me
