Corded Power Tools: A Mostly Forgotten Platform

Corded power tools at least from what I have seen are becoming an increasingly forgotten and underused platform, being displaced by cordless tools partially because power tool companies no longer innovate on their corded power tool designs. Many features which are standard on cordless drills are all but nonexistent on many corded tools, and if they are present, only one of these features is typically available. Despite this lack of innovation, there are many situations where corded tools are still useful and in some cases, people should not be so fast to overlook them.
