This is not a big deal, just a peeve. But Harrison Ford wasn't just a carpenter in the '70s, and some real "man" because of that. He didn't take many drama classes in college, but he did and got the bug. Which is why he did summer stock theatre, then jetted off to LA to make a career of his acting, and had been doing bit parts, to larger parts, since 1964. He became a carpenter to support his family, but he was an aspiring/working actor for years before his role in American Graffiti. Because acting is a real art, and yes, real men act.

Honestly i dont get why people liked that movie at all. The movie just sucks. They can throw all the cool characters and cameos and references that i love and still the movie will suck. Mainly becauss they dont do anything with them. They are just references and cameos. Then we have a few 80s cliches used as plot to move the story forward. Yeah cool...they should have watched the cabin in the woods cuz that shit did nothing for me but feel lazy. Ready player one didnt feel like a gran homage to gaming, movies and 80s culture, it just felt like a mosh mash of everything trying to appeal to everyone so EVERYONE can go at least once "oh! I know what/who this is! Cool". It felt cheap, lazy and just boring.

I found the relationship between the rock and the monkey endearing. Thought it was the only good part of the film. Thought the end joke was awesome. And RP1 was awesome. Don't care about its cinematography... It won me with the batmobile tires screeching the theme song. Then on; I was in. Didn't care. I realized the movie wasn't a movie, it was a nostalgia factory. Tbh I loved the Ready Player One novel. The plot was way better than the shortened movie version and the pop culture references weren't quite as shoved down your throat. They were mostly either subtle or a part of the riddles themselves. I read it for the first time in middle school and I remember staying up late, reading by flashlight. I kept a notebook and wrote down everything and tried to solve the puzzles and riddles before the characters did. It was so much fun.

By the way I actually really like the villains motivations in Doctor Strange. This magician has been lied to his whole life by his most respected person and she was being a hypocrite the entire time. Then some God from another dimension appear to be more honest to him and promised him power and equality and that they would be kings in the New World if he help them establish it. That’s pretty reasonable motivation. And then you have the joker in the dark Knight who essentially just wanted to watch the world burn but since it was dark and gritty everyone makes it deeper than it needs to be. I know there was more to his motivation than that but seriously, it was barely...

Prequels have little suspense because you know who will live since they're still alive in the "later" movies. You don't watch Solo and say "I hope Chewbacca doesn't die!" I enjoyed Rampage and Ready Player One, although the constant '80s references in RPO got tiresome after a while. I did like the Mechagodzilla cameo, though. Idk, I kinda liked Ready player one. The oasis is good. The graphics are perfect for the story. There are already enough grimdark things IRL there so they had to have an escape. So yeah. A bright and colorful game is good. Although I agree that the main characters are a bit bland. But the A plot is what they do INSIDE the game not outside.

Pacific Rim uprising had some corny moments, but it was a fun movie. Not great, but fun.

I didn't even know they made another Tomb Raider movie. Then again, I also didn't know they had made a Pacific Rim sequel either, so...

I actually saw Dr. Strange, in theaters, on acid. It makes me wonder if you've ever taken it? Dialogue on acid is fine. In fact I usually find just about any kind of movie raises about 2 points when I'm on acid, everything is simply more interesting.

probably not.. acid is old school.. but I concur with you, everything is waaaaay more interesting on acid.. nothing else like it, just wish it didn't linger quite so long.. or leave one feeling quite so crispy afterwards..

LSD is not "old school." I would imagine more people have access to it now than ever before in human history. @@claudeusgothicus6453

I will take venom over most of these movies. I would rank these movies higher then any of the marvel movies this year. Deadpool 2. Got obnoxious in the third act. Its different at least.

Ye, around the 20-30 minute mark I switched off Ready Player One too. And looking at Meg I knew I'd be worse than Triassic World from Asylum (this one's first and last 20 minutes are useable btw). But my biggest disapointment was Hereditary. Second was Future World which had a good basic, and Mila Jovivich was a cool villain, but even I could have made a better story of it. My biggest plus the other hand was 2036 Origin Unknown. I expected it be total trash, only went there for Shackoff, but was surprisingly ok.

The only way we enjoyed Rampage was because we saw it late and there was nobody else in the entire movie theater so we constantly moved seats wed start cheering during fights and yelling when stuff happened and it was an absolute blast...although that was more because hanging out than the movie itself

It's kind of frustrating that KZbin *just* recommended your channel to me, as this video is two days shy of having been uploaded two years ago. It seems to me I'm on the same page as you, or at least the page you were on back when you made this video. Also, your channel music reminds me of the song 'Party All the Time," which is kind of great!

I liked Fallen Kingdom, but admit it wasn't fantastic. I don't watch most all the movies that release in a year, I've probably seen less than 10, so I guess Venom? It was a fun movie, but I was expecting something much darker and grittier. Either way I even loved that one.
