I agree... thank you for taking the time to make this video. One of the hardest things to do is to react under pressure. Training minimizes it but when the adrenaline hits you no matter how many hours of training you think you have it might not work. Gender and size will not matter there are many variables that come into play, misconceptions about gender and size will help when defending but can be a downfall when those differences are not taken into consideration. I like to train with people smaller and bigger than me so that I can experience those differences.

I appreciate your explaining how you were taking care with the holds. Especially about the cartilage/trachea/larynx! 😊 As always, your videos are great - awesome instruction, demonstration and information. Also just want to say, props and thanks to this female partner for being in several videos. You can tell that she is great at her craft, and is a good sport, too! Tell her “thanks” for us!

Thanks guys for hard work, training and the producing of these videos. Your training methods are refreshing, and a breath of fresh air, to an old Isshinryu student. I really enjoy CoreJKD, you have simplified a much needed approach to defending ones person or persons with you. Thank you agin for your del agents, and hard work. God Speed, God Bless, and God Bless all that you lay your hands to.

Wow..that last move at fuller speed shows how effective it can be. And you knew it was coming. Beware for those who don't!!!! At first when it was in slow motion it looked like it wouldn't really be very good to use because the person choking you would bop you in the head with their fist before you could do anything. However ...shows when someone is skilled and practiced in it ..and fast with some strength to it.....what it can really do ....props to the chokee!!!!!

Rounding the back is good idea so head doesn’t slam into wall behind. Our Krav instructor said something similar, let your butt hit first with rounded back. Interesting that you described like a breakfall, makes sense.

Thanks for sharing Ming. As always your breakdown of ideas is simple and straightforward. I have been a follower for a long time now and i wish i had dedicated females like yours. The ones i train never show such commitment. Thank you for this...

The man she works with can be 8ft (not really), that does not matter. What matters is the intensity. A 7ft man of relative weight is a major issue for any female, even is she too was 7ft. That said, I understand that we men underestimate the strength of trained females. My wife was a full contact bare knuckle (to the face) champion in the 70s and she is my toughest sparring partner.

For me I think I have an idea for this. Hit their elbow (probably the bone side), kick their leg (preferably weakpoints), grab their choking arm and pull them in then punch them wherever you want. OR Lick em. Why? Because they will activate the "ew sensation" and let go of you and you have time to escape. I only went here because I watched Sherlock Holmes. Discombobulate.

Not ever. Doesn't interest me. Had a sip of beer at about 7 years old because I thought it was soda, and that is the extent of my drinking.
