wow...... that was.... extraordinarily simple to do. Define pattern and boom - it's done. And you can move the image around. Wow. That's literally better than Photoshop.

What is the mac equivalent of the keyboard shortcut you used to pan around?

The keyboard shortcuts for both MAC and PC are in the Corel Painter Help Files, located under the HELP menu item.
