It's a pleasure Grzegorz. Yes, you can - check out the 5th part of this series: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5qwgaOsfcidkM0 Or I should say that will teach you to create a thick paint brush. It's a different category from captured dabs. If I remember you correctly you can have an impasto captured dab.

If I just want to create a stamp type brush, which base brush do you suggest to use?

Hi Sandra. The default brushes vary from version to version, so rather than recommending a default brush, I can suggest downloading my free essential brushpack (roxanelapa.gumroad.com/l/corelpainterbrushes-painting) and using "RXY Sqr Soft" as a basis. Good luck :)

@@sandrasmith2137 "RXY Sqr Soft" is still a good base - just increase the spacing so that you can see the individual stamps.

Ctrl D Backspace. This not only clears the canvas but it also deletes the layer. So you may as well just click on the trash bin at the bottom

Hi john. It's Ctrl A, not D. Ctrl+A selects everything and backspace clears the canvas without deleting the layer.

Also remember to let go of Ctrl before your press backspace or that will delete the layer. So it's two steps. 1) Ctrl + A 2) Backspace

I’m using Corel painter 18. Is there a way to change the dry bush so the it releases less paint with pressure? Right it blends when the paint runs out.

Hey there. I don't have 2018, but if I'm assuming it is one of those artist oil brushes that runs out of paint? If so, just open the Artist Oils panel (in my version it is Brush Control Panels > Brush Media > Artist' Oils), and increase the amount (more paint loaded on to the brush) and decrease the viscosity (paint lasts longer on the brush). Hope that helps :)

I downloaded from Gumroad and followed the instructions but it does not show up in Corel Layout. How do you get the layout to be reflected in the listing?

Actually, found the correct spot. Under Corel Painter 2023, it is in a different location than what is stated in the installation instructions. On my machine the location is C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Painter 2023\Painting\Framework I simply copy/pasted the unzipped xml file to there and it shows up in Corel Painter 2023 and works. To check, if you have created a TEST file to make an initial layout, it should also be there which is how I found the right location in the first place.

@@sandrasmith2137, it only goes in "Default" if you've not saved a workspace. You probably saved a workspace and named it 'painting', that is why your location is slightly different. the gumroad page included a screenshot showing this. Glad you came right. :)

Hi Jack. In case you didn't see my reply on Twitter: What resolution are you running? I'm running 1920x1080, so if your res is smaller, the panels may have shifted off screen.

Hi Roxanne, Thank you for your brilliant tutorial. I have tried to install your workspace on Corel Painter 2020 but it doesn't seem to work. The workspace has been added to the list of the layouts but when I select it, the system refreshes for a couple of seconds and then nothing occurs. I have tried to follow your indication to the letter.

The layout works but for some reason the panels seem be automatically hidden... Once it has appeared for a while in its beauty but then I was painting I had to close something and I cannot visualize them again... Then panels are all selected to be visualized but they do not appear...
