I really came close to crying. Obviously I didn't know Paul, I wasn't even a fan during his time. However, the emotion and power of this music makes it impossible not to feel what he was feeling at this moment. You can tell that he is channeling all of his sorrow and anger into his performance, and that makes it so much more real than any top 40s artist who just spews out meaningless lyrics written by a committee who designed them to be catchy and easy to sell to ignorant people. This is the spirit of a real musician.

Just like what Corey has said before "At the same time, it was good that she did, because it was that final push to me figuring out myself" He's gone through so much heartache and down falls in his life on and off. First song I ever heard from these guys when I was 9, till this very day. It still makes me cry because he's a great guy and like I said, "He didn't deserve all of these downfalls in his life."

Corey Taylor is my absolute favorite singer/songwriter. Everything he does, he does it with passion. You can feel his anguish during this performance. @Malix Corvin. I've dealt with depression since I was six years old. Before Slipknot and Stone Sour, I discovered Alice In Chains, and songs like Down in a hole, Brother, Rotten Apple, Would and Nutshell helped me get through. People always asked me why I listened to sad music if I was sad, and all I could say was "they understand what I'm going through, and they made it through to write about it". Depression is a constant fight, but if I can get through it, believe me so can you! Never stop fighting, and keep on rocking! Peace!!!

All of my closest friends are not completely straight :/ they're like Pan, Bi, lesbian, gay, trans, asexual, agender, aromantic, non-binary, gender fluid, and we have a LGBT club at our school lol and to be quite honest I had no idea what most of these words meant six months ago. So feel free to look them up *friendly grin*

+2PunkRock4u \m/ lol thank you :) I identify as gender flexible and pansexual, so I take it upon myself to be the nuisance the rest of us are afraid to be... I'm not closeted, my mom supports me, so I think all people should just respect it. it isn't a choice. no one just decides to make their life harder. who wakes up one day deciding "hey! I'm gonna tell everyone I'm gay and get myself emotionally crucified!" I mean... I respect masochists too, so if anyone actually wants to do that then I don't judge lol let people live the way they want to live within the constraints of the law. individuality makes the world go round after all

+2PunkRock4u \m/ that's cool :) good luck with your girlfriend, I have a boyfriend, but I know for a fact that I notice girls too. I'm to the point where I'll see a person, be unable to tell their gender (it's really confusing with some people), but still be like "oh that human is cute" so I think that makes me pan. i don't care about the physical much at all though lol I care about personality and compatibility by bf is bisexual, so we both kinda are like "am I the only one checking her/him out?" and we usually are when the topic pops up lol I just want people to get along. prejudice ticks me off to no end. there's a lot of prejudice against my friend group because of religion and sexuality and it's irritating as hell. my bf came out as bi to his extended family and now they're harassing him apparently. like really. he has a gf, admits to liking guys too, and still gets torn to shreds. it's stupid. my brother is asexual so my parents are probably just happy I'm possibly gonna have offspring

People always peg Slipknot as this evil, twisted or satanic band, usually for no other reason than because of the way they dress and their horror movie type masks. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Sure, some songs are dark, but a lot of their music is very emotional and this right here proves that they are human beings who love and care just like the rest of us. Very hard to watch a grown man cry like that. RIP Paul. Thank you for all the joy you brought to those around you and for all of the kickass tunes you gave us.
@AKGuitarist

AKGuitarist To expand on that thought: A lot of people are under the impression that if a song is heavy then it must be filled with hatred and aggression and only mellow songs can be emotional. Just because a song is heavy doesn't mean it isn't emotional in much the same way that just because a song is mellow makes any less evil.

The true feelings of a Heavy Metal frontman who lost one of his closest friends, when his voice cracks and he looks up at the ceiling then you KNOW he’s really feeling Paul’s spirit and can’t handle the sadness, RIP Paul Grey, I hope you’re looking after Corey and the rest of Slipknot, admiring their progress as a band, Slipknot really isn’t the same without Paul... but I know he’s smiling down on the band and helping them through it all..! Just like Chester Bennington of Linkin Park... sometimes I get the feeling that Paul Grey, Chris Cornell, and Chester Bennington are all watching over not only their respective bands, but also everyone else’s... we lost those three too soon... but, they’re there to show their bands the light and keep them going..! Sorry, this is turning into a bit of a rant... I guess I’ll just end this comment with... sleep in heavenly peace Paul Grey, Chris Cornell, and Chester Bennington, may you three guide your bands and let them know that you three are there... 🤘 Edit: and now we must add Joey Jordison to the mix… this song is even harder for Corey… I always tear up when I watch this video… or any live acoustic version of “Snuff” in general…

If what you stand for is men being allowed to cry then you better flaunt it because if you dont then you're just as bad as the people who dont think emotions are ok

The only reason why they feel they need to do this, to name an album after Paul, to linger onto his death till the point where it becomes downright pathetic is because (according to Pauls wife) no one showed ANY interest to actually intervene while Paul was locked up in his room shooting up. And now they will regret that for the rest of their lives. I know how it feels.

The hurt and pain in his voice, that came from deep within....the love he had for his brother in the band really speaks to a lot of us...he's human just like us. It's okay to show emotion and cry. So powerful.

I have nothing but respect for Corey Taylor crying like he did. A man like him, headstrong to the core and built to last, showing his soft side during a song for Paul Gray. Saying he is a pussy for crying on stage is like saying you wouldn't care if your loved ones passed. Everyone is human, and everyone cries, sometimes on the inside and outside. Anyone who says otherwise is not telling the truth. R.I.P. Paul Gray, #2 all the way. And respect to Corey Taylor, for letting his emotions be seen.

Thinking about Corey and how this song relates to him I think of this song *hitting him like a 10 ton pallet of bricks emotionally.* I'm just listening to it and it hits me at an emotional core that I didn't think I had. It's astounding that he was able to articulate his emotions and even more incredible that he could preform something so personal in public for the world to see him. I'm a big fan of "made of scars" by stone sour (Also Corey Taylor) but snuff proves that scars run deeper than the skin and flesh especially in Corey.

Every time I hear this song, I always cried because of the sad memories of my childhood. Seeing my parents fight when I was 3 years old at the time, thoughts of suicidal, and when my Dad lost her older sister from a kidney failure in May 2014, which me, my older sister, and the rest of the family. Losing a love one is like, a piece of love is burned into flames. I will never forget it when I die. Snuff is probably the saddest songs I’ve heard in my life. And I release every piece of anger, depression, despair into crying. I’ll never forget the sad moments in my life.😰😢
