As Edvin said about Wilhelm; "His problem isn't that he loves a boy, it's that he's the prince". And I think that is a very refreshing, mature way to tackle "coming out" in pop culture. Wilhelm isn't afraid of being who he is within, he is afraid of the unreal expectations put on him from the outside

This is why the show is so great. No freaking out about the feelings, but rather mature problems later on. To me their relationship is more mature than many from proper grown ups,,, all that communicating, the constant checking in if things are alright, the hugging ... they got so many things so damn right.

Interesting, but i'd say it is because it's a swedish show. In sweden everyone learns english very well in school, so i thought that's why every character uses both languages in the series.

@@fionamegan790 near the end of the show she says “you’ll have to visit me in New York” and also felice says to her one time “you know you can speak Swedish with me” or smtg like that but she reply’s with something that makes it seem like she’s not as comfortable speaking it because it’s not her first language.

I totally agree with what you said at the end! Like I love that Wilhelm made the first move and actively put himself around Simone because you never see that happen. Then cut to the kids scene it’s was so cute and real and authentic and didn’t have the same ole that we’ve always seen. Their chemistry is off the charts and like you said they convey so much in what isn’t spoken

The ending of the episode is so good. As you said, we were blessed with no rejection as shows are usually portraying in building up a gay love storyline (and this will continue to be even better and more distinctive). Really like you reacting to this show!

I don't know why, but from the very first time I watched this scene, I was convinced that Wilhelm was trying to say : "I'm not sure what I'm doing" or something like that. I just think, that if he was really deep in denial and wanted to deny he's interested, then he wouldn't have had problems finishing the sentence.

Haha so cool 12:44, in Sweden/Netherlands we say a lot 'what the fuck' but in translations its 'what the hell whas that?' and even in the Dutch translation its 'what was that?" haha. Sorry I'm not that weird as i seem to be, just in quarantaine and bored and obsessed by this cool show! I think the sockerscene was the most adorable scene of all...

@@CoreysCouch88 have you tried? It is a habit. Only Disney and stuff like that for kids is dubbed in Norway(Scandinavia, maybe). That is why we are so used to subs from a young age. You are REALLY missing out on the authenticity. The acting is AMAZING and in my opinion you should at least try. Swedish is a beautiful beautiful language ❤️

haha I'm enjoying your reactions but I'm cringing at their voices in English, it sounds so forced to me compared to their Swedish ones (although that might be because I'm Swedish), but the acting is so much better in Swedish hhhh it makes it funny though

I totally agree. Swedish is ten times more natural (and beautiful), eventhough it’s the actors own voices in the english version. Jeg er norsk, og elsker svensk. Kan bare ikke fatte at noen ever vil se dubbede versjoner av noe som helst.

@@Svtmme73 Yeah I agree, nowadays I only watch dubbed stuff if it's like a Disney film I've always seen in Swedish and suddenly seeing it in English would be weird, but that's pretty much it! I feel like this specific dubbing is worse than others though, some of them are evidently not used to speaking in English and so it feels more as if the actors focused more on conveying their lines in English and less on the acting and emotions supposed to come with them. Although admittedly, it probably doesn't help that Swedes (and I think Norwegians as well?) often use English for 'comedic effects' (something like that) in everyday conversations now and then, which kind of makes it seem like they're not being serious to me haha
