Thanks for the great tips! I'm trying to understand the difference between sticker paper and printable vinyl. Since you are putting the uv laminate over it; does it matter which one you use to print your stickers on? There are so many options/names/prices of sticker paper out there that it is confusing!

it can be pretty confusing for sure. Sticker paper is typically more on the paper end of things and I know thats like a DUH moment but think of it like the texture of paper. When it comes to printable vinyl its going to be a smoother product less on the fiber end of things and more on the plastic end of the spectrum. I find it really depends on what you are wanting to use it for that determines which product you want to use. I don't put my stickers on things that get wet so I like to use sticker paper a lot. But printable vinyl seems to hold up better to getting wet. None of them are going to work on a car well or something that sits out in the elements. While some can be waterproof and water resistant none of them even with a UV protectant laminate will hold up to sun. The fading is caused from the ink and not that materials. Inkjet ink is just not made to not fade. I hope this helps!

It depends on the material. You need to try test cuts with whatever materials you are using as all materials and machines are different. I typically use medium cardstock

You will want to do test cuts as I mention in the video. All materials and machine are different so what works for me will possibly not work for you. I recommend starting somewhere in the light or medium cardstock settings and the adjust based on how those cut

Hey Corinne. That was a super helpful video!!!! I am focusing on trying to a larger sized print for my HTV and am so new to crafting and Cricut etc! I uploaded the templates for the Print and cut. I believe both the templates upload with the size measurements showing on the page in design space. How can I get rid of those? I switch ed it from basic to print and cut..but the words are still attached, Also unless I am doing something wrong it is not allowing the maximum size when I put my design on top. I am not doing all separate stickers I am doing one design with words above and below the image. How do I get it to cut out the design and the words as one piece and still get the maximum size. And finally, I hit blank canvas and there is no color option highlighted to change it to blue etc as you were showing, Sorry for so many questions. You are a great teacher! I am so grateful for your help!!! have a great one! I am so excited to watch more of your videos!

The square is hard to see for blank canva it’s always there right about the middle of the screen top section. The words are not separate on the design but if for some reason they still show just weld the design. Design space has been weird and has been requiring the size to be 7.43 on the shortest measurement. If you want everything to cut as one piece and not a bunch of parts you need to add an offset and flatten

That’s not sticker paper it’s a laminate. It helps extend the longevity of your stickers

For uv protection you need to use a uv safe ink which is more on the industrial side of printing

I use a windows computer. When your download was extracted it gave you little images of all the files. When I download things I have to open them one by one to see them. What am I doing wrong?

When you are in the folder right click and it should give you a drop down box then go to view and I choose large images. If you are still now showing a preview you need to choose a default program to open the png files and sadly off the top of my head I can’t remember how to do that but I think if you google default program png windows you would find directions

You may need to size it down to 9.43 design space has been a little weird since the last update. Also be sure the designs are in that size range as well

The folder won’t open? If so I would recommend you delete and try downloading again. If it still won’t open I would google the issue and see what that says because I’ve never had that issue so I don’t know how to fix that
