For the cut order on the different mats you can just click on the mat you want to cut first so you don't have to cancel the whole cut and change the color. Great tutorial!
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
You can however cricut design space is probably one of the glitches softwares I have ever used and nearly every time I do that is still cuts the wrong mat. So we just change the color to prevent any issues
@anahatahandmadeproducts4319 Жыл бұрын
And with you separating them, did that change the order too? Usually, whatever is on the left prints first.

Thank you for breaking this down in so much detail!!! Personally, I would just cut the backing with scissors depending on how easy the design is. Something with straight lines would be easy to cut, but circle and curves are going to look nicer with the cricut.

Hii ! I've started my journey through suncatcher stickelast year and I've watch this video several times and I have to thank you about this video because it helped me a lot to do the process! 😄 Also, I've tried a few things in the making and someone suggested me to use a LED pad to do the application of vinyl on suncatcher paper which I tried it and it works beautifuly for the layer's allignement! 😀✨ So, since this video helped me a lot, I wanted to share the tip with you for the making of future suncatcher stickers ❤
@AliciaEastLyme2 жыл бұрын
you can cut in whatever order you want, just select the one in make view that want to cut and it will cut that one.
@MizriaHex2 жыл бұрын
I love making these! So fun! One tip tough if you want to align the layers without having to offset is by selecting them and clicking "arrange" > "center" it will line them up automatically! Then you can flatten them together. :)
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
Flatten is only used for print then cut not for making vinyl or other decals. Since I did not want to keep these together for any reason I wouldn't need to do any of the steps like attach group or weld. There are a couple way to do this type of design you can duplicate and contour or do the offset like I did. The offset makes it a little easier to line up the design so there is a small gap around it to leave room for a little error :-)
@robynparker-morgan3383 Жыл бұрын
Had no idea that we could do that offset thing - game changer! Thank you!

To clean your hair from your mats use a baby wipe. It works like a charm and keeps the mat still sticky. I also take a lint roller a cheap one from the dollar store since they aren’t as sticky and I just roll over the hair and it lifts it off of the mat. I have a dog and 3 cats. Trust me I have this happening to me on the daily! Lol!
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
Oh yes I do the baby wipes a lot! They work like a charm! Dawn dish soap is my other go to!
@XerxesSings2 жыл бұрын
I don’t always have time use the Dawn dishwashing liquid so the baby wipes are right on my desk and I just pick one up wipe it off and it comes up so fast and so easy. I also sometimes use Lysol wipes if I don’t have the baby wipes, those to work really well and they still keep my mat sticky. I love this tutorial by the way, I made a bunch of them for my shows, I’m a psychic medium, The Steel City Medium, Leslie Gray, so this was great addition to my other crafts that I make. I make sage kits, which I was using the crystals decals for the boxes that I make for storage. Thank you for making this easy tutorial. I hate when people go way too much into their tutorials that I just can’t sit there listening to the bantering. Lol! You rock!!! ❤️

I use window clings when I make glass blocks with the lights inside. Use this rainbow patterned cling on the back and a frost cling on the front where I apply the vinyl design. This way, I have 1 block and as many interchangeable designs as I want. I’ve made a different design for each month/holiday. The rainbow cling on the back isn’t necessary…just makes the back side pretty.

Hi there, this is a great tutorial! I did have a question though. I made a couple and they turned out great, but then about a week later, my vinyl that I applied to the window cling material started falling off. Have you had this happen or is there something I might have missed? Please help and thanks!
@CorinneBlackstone10 ай бұрын
Never have had that issue. Make sure you are applying a quality vinyl. Cricut vinyl is not quality. Also be sure you are allowing the vinyl to cure before placing the window cling on the window. You need to let the vinyl sit for about 48-72 hours before being used
@pinkiesinkings10 ай бұрын
@@CorinneBlackstonethanks so much for replying back. I used HTVRONT Holographic Vinyl. I'm thinking maybe the second part that you said about allowing time for it to cure might have been the issue. I was overzealous when I made my first two, I slapped them up on that window and kept moving them. I'm guessing when I was doing that, maybe it was loosening the adhesive or something. I will try what you say and let them sit for a bit and see if that helps. Thanks again!

I'm wondering, you mentioned using this on acrylic. Do you think it would be possible to put this on acrylic and cover with resin to make it more of a "permanent" thing, like on a keychain for instance? I'm thinking the window cling might cause it to lose the prismatic look under the resin however. What do you think? Thank you for the tutorial, my mind is spinning with ideas! It's very beautiful!

When you only have two mats on the make it screen to change the cut order you don't have to go back and change the color like you did you could have just clicked on Mat 2 and as long as that one was highlighted before you clicked continue and loaded your mat it would have cut that second mat first. I actually learned that in error one day 🤣
