Wow, very nice! Thanks for the video! How is the condition of this sanctuary and others around the SW Florida now after Hurricane Ian in 2022. I've never been to Florida and am thinking about doing a bird photography trip this year's March or April. But not sure if it will still look nice or should I wait until next Winter? Also, I'm concerned about the danger that the crocs and alligators pose in these places. What is your advice/caution for someone new to Florida?

Interesting that you should ask that. Not 100% certain yet but it appears Karen & I may be purchasing a home ourselves in Florida in the next year. It’s an income tax free state and property taxes for seniors is greatly reduced. Highway systems are new and good schools/hospitals. The only real downside is housing insurance. Because of hurricanes like Ian, housing insurance can be expensive. As far as seeing hurricane damage ourselves? We only saw it in the panhandle part of the state near Pensacola and it wasn’t that bad. Most of it is cleaned up

Exciting! Where in Florida are you planning to buy a house in? I’m fast approaching retirement and looking for a place to retire too. Which areas in Florida would be good candidates? By the way, should I be worried about crocodiles and alligators when out doing bird photography in these nature reserves and the beaches in SW Florida?
