In kesa-gatame, your feet shouldn't be lazy passengers, they are there to provide "base" (base of support) to help you drive into your opponent. Not trying to be critical just adding something useful. Admittedly, I'm just a white belt in BJJ but I've suffered enough under that position to know that when a person really knows how to "value add" their weight to their control in that position, it can get a tap from an opponent just through discomfort alone.

I would recommend lifting your weight up off your bum to put weight through your opponents chest when in kesa-gatame. Sitting on your bum all the weight is going into the floor. When you lift your bum and weight your toes, all your weight drives into their ribs and chest. It really sucks.
