Well what stuck out to me was A) he made this promise to Solomon about Israel so I wander is it for us also. Not every statement to Isreal is for the church. But B) if it is for us it's glaring to me that he didn't care what those that were not his people did. "If MY people", he's obviously (to me) making a spirtual distinction that governs the rest of the declaration. JMHO

I pray for our leaders to do Gods will and not our will (or wants). I pray the leaders govern by the life lessens the Lord has taught us thru his Word and examples. But I've also learned how to improve my own prayer time. There were some really good principles and examples given. thank you.

I always pray that God will have them do his will, because his will is righteous, and they our leaders repent for their transgressions, and if they do not do God's will, I pray he will remove them, if they aren't part of his purpose.... and then I pray that I do his will... and to cleanse my heart daily for any ill will toward my enemies or any neighbor.. amen..

Being raised Southern Baptist I wasn’t taught any of this. I’m so thankful to God that He lead me to Cornerstone Fellowship. I’ve learned a lifetime of lessons that had I known just a little what I’ve learned from these sermon videos my Christian Life might have been different. Praise my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that now I understand better how to pray, how to trust, have a greater faith and develop a lust (in a great way) for the Word of God and how to study it. I now think I understand what lies before us and because of that I can face each new day without stress. Because My faith is now in Jesus and the Holy Spirit is guiding my steps I can pray for the people who don’t have the comfort and assurance of Salvation through Jesus. I’ve never had a good prayer life even though I can’t remember ever asking for anything for myself, but now I’m hearing God speak back to me when I’m praying and/or in His Word. Pastor Allen, you’re going to have a little bitty jewel on your crown once you stand before God in Heaven and receive your rewards that represents the Good Work you did in my life. Thank you.

I have a guy telling me it's wrong for Christians to even vote. He's not able to give me a chapter and verse. Not sure where he got that idea! Why would we NOT want to vote and pray for our government? It's our moral responsibility.

We need discernment! We need to pray for both. Both candidates are terrible but which is actually worse? Many Christian’s believe it is obvious common sense because of their moral stance on many issues. If Trump wins as it seems likely we will have a dictator and no more democracy. Nothing will be the same again. It is a terribly difficult thing to decide and comprehend what is really at stake. Do you?

We are taught to pray for our enemies - the leaders of the Gentile nations for we know that the rulers of this world are sold under sin and that they make their decisions without having the light of Christ in them (they walk in darkness). The followers of Christ are led by God and by those who are above them in the Lord (the Elect - the anointed priests and mininsters of righteousness). They are the ones who have been justified by God in Jesus Christ for the sake of delivering the gospel of reconciliation and judging the people of God. Those are our leaders - the likes of Herod and Ceasar are not our leaders.

Allen Nolan: "God doesn’t kill, steal, or destroy, the devil does." The Bible: "See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand." - Deuteronomy 32:39 "The LORD brings death and gives life; He brings down to Sheol and raises up." - 1 Samuel 2:6 "For He wounds, but He also binds; He strikes, but His hands also heal." - Job 5:18 "While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." - 1 Thessalonians 5:3 "if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes as an example of what is coming on the ungodly." - 2 Peter 2:6 I personally believe that Gods sovereignty is absolaute because thats what scirpture plainly teaches. To be sure, I'm not sure how God can "declare the end from the beginning" if He has no contorl over the timing and manner of world events. I mean seriosuly, if history isnt preordained, then how does prophecy work? When Jesus told Peter he'd deny Him 3 times, did He just have a lucky guess? And did Peter really have no choice simply because his future was foretold? Yes, in righteousness God judges and kills (He couldn't be a just God if He didn’t) and sometimes the innocent are taken before their time. "Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come." - Isaiah 57:1 I, and every faithful servant of the Lord, always take it to heart that: "all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

Dear Pastor Nolan, My Question is Very Important. I was saved during middle school and I was beyond happy, however, I grew up in a very dysfunctional family and my life fell apart. I know I loved the Lord but I fell away from him thinking I knew what was best for me. What do I do now to come back into Gods Will for my life so I can go to heaven and be with my Heavenly Father. Have you lived a perfect life or did you sin and been forgiven by God? A man who is against the murder of babies, and yes post term abortions are happening in at least six states. A man who does not support the sex changing of children. A man who is against an open border that allows rapists, pedophiles, sex trafficking of women and children and gangs of thieves and murderers into our country. The old covenant ended when it was fulfilled by Jesus and the new covenant was as given. The Old Testament points to the new Covenant, Jesus and the gospel. Please consider teaching the gospel.
