Very beautiful hermit! I see the living things live very wellin the tank. You have very beautiful anemones! Natural and rich aquarium! How long have you had viridis? They are huge! I came back from the sea a few hours ago, i brought shrimps, green anemones actinia equina and sea water. My dear friend, i hope you are all well!

Yes we are well my friend, the viridis were large when obtained they were collected 3 years ago one 5 years ago! I had two grey now 5 after a couple split and 1 of the greens split. It is interesting that in a tank I built for a friends little boy a viridis blew itself up to over 40 cm's in just a few weeks and stayed that way, why, I have no idea but it was incredible to see. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Poseidon's Kingdom. Fishing from my friends boat tomorrow.

Your tank do be looking good, but can see some hair algea. Is it much of annoyance or little and dont grow much?

Thank you Jonathan, I look at it this way, Hair Algae is part of the marine environment and whilst it does affect the appearance and not always in a wellcome way, the spider crabs for instance. It does produce a micro environment that makes a suitable refuge for small cratures that can provide food. Anyway that is my excuse. There is an occasional problem I have which is blue green algae which is bacterial in nature, and usually appears as a result of contamination from my water supply, which is a natural spring. This I usually control with UV in my top up water and change water, but if it emerges in the tank I use a product called Chemiclean, which clears it up in a matter of days and so far in it's use I have seen no ill effects. By the way Jonathan have you heard anything of Simon, he has not posted for a while, I hope he is OK.

@@barleyarrish havent heard anything either, can try comment on his channel or msg him and see. Also for me the issue of hair algea is what it can do with a tank if it gets to much of. Most important thing to control it is light balance and nutrient control. For me only way to counter it was to add enough plants and macro algea to absorb the nutrients to prevent the hair algea from taking grip or spreading. And I can see the effects fairly quick. And the tank is reaching a good balance point. And also having a sump with no fish, but with algea and micro organism is a big boost. Or if use canister filter, just dont empty water out of it. And dont clean it to much. Lately I have just realised so many stuff on how to balance things out. All from substrate to filtering and so on. Says itself also but didnt really click fully for me until now how to make the best of eco system
