Charlie wasn't left handed; Tracy put the knife in his left hand, but whenever he wrote, used a spoon, drank etc, he used his right hand the majority of the time. It's unlikely a lawyer would fail to make that distinction, because if anything, Charlie holding the knife in his left hand further invalidates Tracy's claim, as he would naturally have used his right hand.
