Wow! I absolutely believe that this is true! I had the most realistic dream a few months ago that shook me to my core! I was asking someone???What is happening to our Eath?? And I had a vision of the earth from afar when all a sudden there was a massive explosion of fire! I woke up with my heart racing and with an overwhelming feeling that I am supposed to tell people about it! I am an introvert so it's not easy, but I feel we need worry more about terraforming our own planet instead of spending millions to search for other planets to do this!! We need to prove ourselves worthy of having another planet to populate! J.

Unfortunately, he is wrong about the fate of the poor being inseparable from that of the rich in the current pandemic. It's an interesting hypothesis, but it does not reflect the data--at least not in the US. The rich can retreat to their summer homes in the Hamptons or Ptown, and professionals have the ability to work from home. The poor, on the other hand, work in essential jobs that give them greater exposure. They also may be more likely to have pre-existing conditions. We know enough about prophylactic measures that the wealthy can be protected from the diseases of the poor. While the mechanism he cites is possible, it can be slow enough that it is unlikely to lead to a large impact on the wealthy. If it does, by that time, the wealthy will be the most to benefit from health technology.

I agree, however, there is still a lot to be done. During lockdowns, although the carbon footprint decreased (with the decreased use of cars, for example) people's exposure to illicit drugs and alcohol increased, especially among the poor and the teenagers. As families had to stay at home, among families with bigger social problems, domestic abuse, tensions and violence also increased. The pandemic was positive because we could clearly see how big the social problems among people are, that otherwise would be hidden. We can see that people are pointing out their social differences even more and fighting for their rights which is positive also. On the other hand, the solution for this crisis has to be a long-term plan, which a vaccine only will not give solutions for, even though that's what it's been given to people. The solution will have to be a complete change of paradigm.

My dear Dr Capra, its so good to see your face and hear your voice. Tao of Physics has been a loadstar for me for over 30 years, as is the Web of Life. Yet i must relate to you i am saddened a bit by your perspective on what is now transpiring on multiple levels around the world today. Virology/Epidemiology is something i know a bit about, and Im slightly shocked that you could be so misinformed. (forgive me) I certainly dont presume to have all the answers, but you say yourself corona is a micro organism (as bacteria) spread from animals. If that WERE so, it would not be a virus, for a virus is not 'alive', it is 'active' within a system. As you point out in Web of Life, in order for it to be considered alive it should exhibit self regulation and self sustaining, not to mention perhaps self determining. And please consider the fact that if covid was organic in origin it would have burned itself out long ago. (see Dr Francis Boyle, gain-of-function) I know you understand we are veritably made up of microbes and bacteria, a majority of which is not only helpful but positively essential to every organism. Perhaps you are unaware of the fact they have NEVER isolated a single virus ever, nor satisfied one of Koch's postulates. (perhaps you are familiar?) It is a System, not a molecule. The image given of Exosomes coming off the corona is what happens when any cell excretes TOXINS. That does not preclude proof of a virus, for cells do that constantly to flush out the system. I shant rant on longer but do encourage you to research further into what Germ theory is versus Terrain theory. Pasteur put forth Germ, his contemporary Bechamp (Antoine) Terrain. I implore you to look closely at these two men and their theories. Remember that for hundreds of years (or more) we have called a seed, the progenitor of life, a germ...to germinate etc. Is it possible truth has been inverted? And why? There is more afoot than one would presume. I leave you with that but would look forward having a dialogue with you, and should you respond to this would delightedly give you my email. Humanity is not a virus, though some may be harmful bacteria. Blessings to you and your family... I can hardly express how important you have been in my life. Merci mon ami
