The early part of the lockdown was so surreal. I remember a few days after watching this I had to go to the shops to get some food and basic items like eggs, flour, meat, toilet roll, tea, pasta the list goes on were all sold out. Also how the roads (including the M25!) were pretty much empty. We really have lived through a key part of history.
@aberdarecat28303 жыл бұрын
Yeah the early defining moments for me was the stampede in the supermarkets, before they limited numbers of customers inside with everyone else queuing outside. Empty shelves from panic buying. A woman barging in front of me in the chemist demanding to buy a thermometer, to be told theyd sold out. All the time there was never any shortages, just selfish people.

@@gorgeouseva6063 BWHAHHA- I don't know if this is a joke, but... . 1. He failed to take Covid-19 seriously even as the virus spread rapidly in March, allowing major sporting events to continue, boasting of shaking hands in hospitals and mocking “bizarre autarkic rhetoric” about lockdowns. His decision to delay a full national lockdown until 23 March contributed to around 20,000 deaths. The Prime Minister preferred to celebrate Brexit, take holidays and sort out his matrimonial arrangements instead of preparing the nation’s defences against the looming pandemic in January and February. 2. By leaving the EU, the UK would lose negotiating power and free trade with other European countries. As the UK tries to recreate trade deals with other countries, they may get less favourable results. The uncertainty of Brexit also causes volatility and affects businesses operating within the UK. In short, he really screwed us up economically with our European relationships. 3. Boris has done so little to help the Ukrainian people. Here's a quote from him himself, just showing you how cowardly he really is: "I want to be crystal clear finally on that point. We will not fight Russian forces in Ukraine, and our reinforcements - like these reinforcements here in Tapa - are firmly within the borders of Nato members". Assange is a government asset. Assange was raised in what looks very much like a CIA MK-Ultra cult called “The Family” - Assange worked for NASA & DARPA and there is an email trail proving it. Assange tried to raise $5M from George Soros when he launched WikiLeaks and an email trail proves it. Assange called 9/11 a false conspiracy thereby supporting the offical government version of 9/11 (is he that stupid?). Bibi Netanyahu said WikiLeaks has been “good for Israel”. WikiLeaks releases all of its files via mainstream media outlets. Genuine threats to the elites do not get promoted by MSM or given a balcony to parade on right in front of the Fleet St press. The US couldn’t “coerce” tiny little Ecuador to release Assange for all of those years? There is a statue of Assange, Snowden and Manning at Alexanderplatz Berlin, one of the busiest intersections in the city - since when have Govt’s built shrines to genuine truth tellers and enemies of the state? Many links between Assange, Wikileaks and the international Rothschild network: - wikileaks got started attacking a rival bank - Julius Baer - a sister-in-law (Jemima Goldsmith) and second cousin of the Rothschilds posted bail for Julian Assange -The Economist (a Rothschild magazine) gave Assange its New Media Award in 2008 -Wikileaks used the law firm Fox Rothschild to overturn a judge’s ruling to order a web host to shut down the Wikileaks site - The Guardian and The New York Times, two of Assange’s media partners, are linked to the Rothschilds (PwP exclusive) -the owner of the mansion where Assange was eventually put under house arrest has links to Rothschilds -Assange’s lawyer is a Rothschild lawyer -US Senator Joe Lieberman who was ultimately responsible for making Assange the largest media personality of the decade, is a member of the Council On Foreign Relations (a Rothschild organization). The IMF paid off the Ecuadorian govt $4.2 billion to keep this psyop running. Richard Hall and TyrannyUnmasked have done good exposes. There is an excellent 4 part blog series on Steemit called “WikiLeaks & Assange - Hero or Dis-Info Agents” where you can read the email trails and look at most of the evidence I cited.

Seeing the true mentality of people these days. Folks gathering around, with cans of beer, celebrating being off work while getting paid, instead taking stock of the reason why it had to be so in the first place and respecting the need for social distancing, going to the promenade on a day out yesterday, gathering on a mountain top etc...utterly self serving. Funny how they'd be the first to cry foul if they or anyone they loved got affected/infected. Infuriating.

Key part to me was sitting in my old High school one lunch on a Friday. Second death hit Scotland at lunchtime and 30 minutes later the head teacher was goung around in tears telling everyone we wouldn't be back and he may not see any of us again. Luckily we did eventually get back, but I'll never forget that. The streets becoming bare in the matter of a day, a town of thousands in which you were refined to socialising with the few in your home or online. Never again I hope.

@johns.150818 күн бұрын
Con? You apparently dont know anyone that died from it. My Wife was an RN back then (still is) but i was actually one of the first to catch it here in the US, even before it hit the world news. By chance, i was in the same car with a Chinese law student who had just arrived here via Logan. None of my doctors could figure out what i had. Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Flu etc. all tested negative. A year later my sample was tested & sure enough it had been Covid. so when my wife caught it 9 months later (tested positive) i had already (unknowingly) become immune. But that first time almost killed me. Over the past 4 years ive had it a total of 3 times but the second 2 times were post vaccination, so not nearly as bad as the first time, though I can only assume the vaccines were why🤷. I had no (Known) lasting side effects from Covid or the vaccine’s- but she lost her sense of taste for about 1 year. Anybody that says this was a hoax or scam… is a fool.

You do not understand something. 3 most public spaces are: 1 schools 2 churches 3 shopping malls. If you do not close them, people will go there (you have to go to school and if you are a "Good" Christian you have to go to church.), So if someone wants you to go to school but also to stay at home then what do you expect? In Poland, despite not Good government, they closed everything like 2 weeks ago. Same with Czech Rep.

@@greensquare6235 I think that the reason he delayed it is to create a slower spread of the disease as this prevents a spike in mortality rate. The delay created a gradual increase of the spread and allowed people to get used to the change. If the lockdown measures were taken sooner a second variation of the virus could have striken us with a vengeance after we'd contained the first. So I think he had a plan.
